
At the ceremony, leaders from both localities provided an overview of the socio -economic situation as well as the outstanding potential and strengths of each side.
Hoai Nhon Ward was established by merging three former wards: Tam Quan Nam, Hoai Thanh, and Hoai Thanh Tay. After the merger, the ward has a natural area of 40.32 km², a population of 43,167 people, and 27 neighborhoods.
This area has great potential for the development of industry, agriculture , and fisheries, linked with trade, services, and tourism; notably, traditional crafts such as mechanics, carpentry, building materials production, and agricultural product processing are prominent.
To date, the ward has 527 fishing vessels participating in seafood exploitation, 100 registered businesses, and 600 individual business households; there are 19 OCOP products, including 1 product that meets 4-star standards and 18 products that meet 3-star standards.
Ia Pia commune was established by merging three communes: the old Ia Pia, Ia Ve, and Ia Ga, with a total natural area of approximately 235 km². The commune has 24 villages; of which 14 are inhabited by ethnic minorities, accounting for about 60% of the population.
Agriculture is the main economic sector, with over 9,555 hectares of crops, mainly coffee, pepper, rubber, cashew nuts, and fruit trees. To date, the commune has achieved 12 out of 19 criteria for new rural development; O Ngol village maintains its status as a new rural village in the ethnic minority area. Currently, the entire commune still has 428 poor households.
In a spirit of solidarity, the two localities signed an agreement to establish a fraternal relationship, agreeing to coordinate and support each other in building strong Party committees, governments, and mass organizations.
At the same time, we must strengthen Party building, develop the economy, culture, and society, and ensure national defense and security.

According to the agreement, the two sides will regularly exchange experiences on ideological work, propaganda and mass mobilization, organization and personnel; coordinate and share experiences in developing new party members, and inspection and supervision work.
In addition, the two localities will strengthen the sharing of experiences in production development, application of science and technology, and the development of OCOP products; mobilize resources and businesses to support economic development and create livelihoods for the people; provide advice and guidance on building economic models; and promote and attract investment suitable to the conditions, potential, and advantages of each locality.
Both sides also agreed to coordinate support in building charitable houses for poor households and awarding scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who overcome difficulties and excel in their studies.
In the field of defense and security, the two localities will coordinate in exchanging information and experiences in mobilizing the public, maintaining security and order; raising vigilance, and combating all types of crimes and social evils, contributing to ensuring national defense and security in the area.


On this occasion, the People's Committee of Hoai Nhon ward, along with schools in the area, donated 40 million VND to disadvantaged students in Ia Pia commune; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoai Nhon ward donated 20 million VND to the "For the Poor" Fund of Ia Pia commune.
