Gia Lai provides training on community tourism for 80 trainees.

(GLO) - On the morning of December 12th, at the Pờ Yầu Village Cultural House (Lơ Pang commune), the Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism inaugurated a training course on traditional culture to serve the development of community tourism.

This activity is part of the National Target Program for socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in 2025.

Accordingly, over a period of 10 days, the Department invited the principal lecturer from the Faculty of Tourism and Vocational Training (Gia Lai College) to directly instruct 40 students from Pờ Yầu village on how to communicate with and welcome tourists; skills in explaining and introducing the traditional culture of the Bahnar people; how to prepare traditional dishes, mix drinks, etc.

Trainees also receive assistance in guiding cultural, historical, and natural tours; and are organized to go on field trips to guide the development of tourism programs…

Previously, the Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a similar training course for 40 Jrai trainees in Chuét village (An Phú ward), contributing to supporting the people in effectively protecting, preserving, and exploiting the value of their traditional cultural heritage in conjunction with community tourism development in the locality.
