During the 2021-2025 period, under the direction of the Central Presidium of the Vietnam Women's Union, with the direct leadership and attention of the Provincial Party Committee and Party committees at all levels, the support and facilitation of the government and departments, the Fatherland Front and political and social organizations, along with the unity, dynamism, creativity, and overcoming of all difficulties of the Union's staff, the work of the Women's Union and the women's movement in Hung Yen province during the 2021-2025 period achieved comprehensive results, affirming the position and role of the Union, contributing to consolidating the great national unity and making practical contributions to the overall development achievements of the province.
Overcoming numerous difficulties, the Women's Union at all levels has implemented creative and effective emulation movements, achieving and surpassing all 8/8 targets of the Provincial Women's Congress Resolution, creating significant milestones in the Union's work and making positive contributions to the local socio -economic development.
Key highlights
1. Launching numerous emulation movements and special campaigns that were widely supported by women, such as: "Warm Tet of the Women's Union - Spring of Sharing Love", "Green sticky rice cakes to quickly repel Covid", "Women of Hung Yen helping each other develop the economy, supporting women and children in particularly difficult circumstances", "Cadres, members, and women of Thai Binh competing to participate in digital transformation", "Women's Union branches at all levels in Hung Yen province join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", "300 days of joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households in the province"; "Women of Thai Binh actively building strong Women's Union organizations, participating in building the Party and government".
Women's associations at all levels consistently show concern and care for women and children in difficult circumstances.
2. There have been breakthroughs in environmental protection, the construction of advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, and civilized urban areas.
The Provincial Women's Union has developed and implemented the project "Women in Hung Yen Province implement household waste sorting and treatment to contribute to environmental protection, building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas in the period 2023-2026".
As a result, 76,333 households have implemented organic waste treatment using microbial enzymes; over 1,000 kg of used batteries have been collected, estimated to save approximately 37 billion VND/year in collection, transportation, and landfill treatment costs; over 616,450 trees of various types have been planted; and over 900 sections/routes of flowerbeds, totaling nearly 1,400 km in length, have been maintained, planted, and cared for.
Women members in Hung Yen province participate in building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, and civilized urban areas.
Many models have been widely implemented in localities. Models such as "Turning Waste into Money," "Clean Scrap," and "Green House" have generated 3.75 billion VND, which has been reinvested in the Association's activities and humanitarian work.
3. Cultural, artistic, and sports movements have developed strongly, contributing to improving the spiritual life of women.
The entire province has now established and effectively maintained 155 Women's Clubs specializing in traditional Cheo singing, and 3,527 clubs dedicated to folk dance, yoga, aerobics, ballroom dancing, volleyball, women's football, lion dance, and traditional martial arts.
Cultural, artistic, and sports movements are developing strongly at all ages.
On major national, provincial, and association holidays, the various levels of the association mobilized tens of thousands of women to participate in folk dance performances; organizing mass performances of traditional ao dai costumes and folk dances.
4. Promote digital transformation in the Association's activities.
The Provincial Women's Union launched and participated in online competitions, including the "Application of Information Technology in Organizing Union Activities" competition.
Women's Union branches at all levels actively maintain and promote the role of the Provincial Women's Union's website; 106 fanpages, 434 Facebook groups, and 2,736 Zalo groups of the Women's Union from the provincial to the grassroots level; design digital communication products to disseminate information to female cadres and members through social media; and implement paperless meeting rooms.
5. The "Godmother" program has spread widely.
Women's associations at all levels in the province have connected with and sponsored 2,018 orphaned children from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing them with between 500,000 and 1 million VND per month per child, helping them to improve their education and lives.

In addition, the various levels of the Association have organized many meaningful programs for orphaned children to participate in, interact with, and share experiences, such as: reporting achievements to Uncle Ho, participating in summer camps, celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival; forums like "Godmothers - Lighting Up the Future", "Godmothers - Connecting with Love"...
6. Many female members in difficult circumstances have been provided with "Houses of Love and Compassion".
The various levels of the Association have mobilized support from organizations and individuals to build and repair 245 shelters for the needy, with a total amount of 10.24 billion VND raised.
This is an activity with profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the spirit of mutual support and shared responsibility towards the community by women's associations at all levels in the province.
Many women members in difficult circumstances have been provided with "Houses of Love and Compassion."
7. Promote activities to support women's economic development and entrepreneurship.
Promoting activities to support women's economic development and entrepreneurship is one of the highlights of women's associations at all levels in Hung Yen province during the 2021-2025 period.
Women's associations at all levels have supported female members in accessing capital from credit institutions with a total capital of over 722 billion VND; helping 6,518 households of female members escape poverty and near-poverty. Simultaneously, they have maintained and developed 31 cooperatives, 118 cooperative groups, and 5 women's entrepreneurship incubator clubs; and organized the annual Women's Entrepreneurship Day.
Women's Unions at all levels are stepping up activities to support women's economic development and entrepreneurship.
8. Enhancing the role of the Association in Party building and the political system.
The Provincial Women's Union proposed 5 policies, projects, and programs; participated in providing feedback on the development of 325 draft laws, programs, and projects of the Central Government and the province, as well as draft documents related to the organization of the Union, female cadres, members, children, and gender equality; and recommended 2,503 outstanding women for Party membership.
Ms. Vu Hong Luyen - Member of the 15th National Assembly (Hung Yen Province Delegation), Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen Province, and President of the Hung Yen Provincial Women's Union - participated in discussions at the National Assembly session.
9. Attract a large number of men to participate in the Association.
Since the beginning of the term, the province has added 20,795 members, bringing the total number of members to 740,071 . Of these, 2,842 honorary male members have been admitted to the Association, demonstrating recognition and honor for those who have an influence on the Association's activities and the women's movement, contributing to building a strong Association and promoting gender equality.
10. Numerous provincial-level events attract a large number of female members to participate.
Many large-scale programs have been implemented by the Women's Union at all levels, such as: organizing a traditional Vietnamese dress (áo dài) fashion show and folk dance performance to celebrate the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day on March 8th with 1,200 participants; and a folk dance performance and letter formation to celebrate the successful conclusion of the 1st Hung Yen Provincial Party Congress and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union on October 20th with 1,115 participants.

Affirming the position and role of the Association
During the period 2021-2025, women's associations at all levels in the province continuously innovated and unified their leadership and guidance, selecting activities focused on key priorities, breakthroughs, grassroots engagement, and addressing social issues and tasks facing members and women in local areas.
Propaganda work has seen many innovations and creative approaches in both methods and content, strongly applying information technology and digital transformation, and having a positive impact on the community. The emulation movement "Building the Vietnamese Woman of the New Era" has been focused on and concretized, creating clear changes in the awareness and actions of members and women.
The Women's Union is increasingly fulfilling its function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members and women, acting as a bridge between the Party and its members and women, fostering consensus, and building a clean and strong Party and government. The union's scope has expanded, thereby attracting and mobilizing women from all walks of life, coordinating with all levels, sectors, and society as a whole to address many issues facing women and families.
The Women's Union is increasingly fulfilling its function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members and women.
Association officials receive basic training, and the specialized apparatus continues to be streamlined, efficient, and adaptable to the context of implementing a two-tiered local government system. Methods for attracting, gathering, and developing members are diversified with new models, applying information technology and digital platforms, and developing honorary membership.
The work of emulation and commendation has received attention and emphasis, with greater focus on individuals working directly and small groups; many female members have been commended by various levels, sectors, and higher-level associations, which has encouraged and created great motivation for the emulation movement to develop extensively in the community, effectively fulfilling the political tasks of the Association and making important contributions to the economic and social development of the province.
The outstanding achievements during the 2021-2025 period reflect the spirit of innovation, creativity, responsibility, and aspiration for development of the staff and members of the Hung Yen Provincial Women's Union. These results create a solid foundation for the Union to enter the new term with high determination, continuing to work alongside the province in building a prosperous, civilized, thriving, and happy Hung Yen.
According to the plan, the First Congress of Women's Representatives of Hung Yen Province is scheduled to take place on December 16th and 17th. The Congress is an important political event, tasked with evaluating the results of the 2021-2026 term, setting directions, goals, and solutions for the 2025-2030 term; discussing and contributing opinions on the draft documents of the higher-level Congress; reviewing the performance of the Executive Committee during the 2021-2026 term; and nominating and appointing the Executive Committee of the Hung Yen Provincial Women's Union for the first term and the delegation to the 14th National Congress of Women's Representatives.
