Ea Ning creates momentum for poverty reduction through preferential credit.

In the process of socio-economic development in rural areas, especially in areas after mergers like Ea Ning commune, policy-based credit capital is becoming a "pillar" helping many households change their lives.

According to the results of the 2024 periodic review of poor and near-poor households, the newly merged Ea Ning commune (formed after the merger of the three former communes of Ea Hu, Ea Ning, and Cu Ewi) has 208 poor households and 341 near-poor households. This is a significant number, reflecting the persistent difficulties in people's lives, especially in remote villages and hamlets. Facing this challenge, the locality aims to reduce the poverty rate by 3% in 2025.

The longan cultivation model has helped increase income for people in Ea Ning commune.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Ning commune, said that to achieve the above goal, Ea Ning commune has developed a comprehensive plan, focusing on core solutions such as: diversifying livelihoods for people, supporting the development of poverty reduction models, strengthening vocational training to create jobs, improving nutritional quality, and enhancing access to information and basic social services…

One of the practical solutions implemented is coordinating with organizations and businesses to organize training courses on agricultural production techniques for farmers. In 2024 alone, approximately 400 people participated in training courses on durian, coffee, and pepper cultivation organized by the commune.

In addition, the commune has issued health insurance cards to all poor and near-poor households, totaling 2,236 people, ensuring that residents receive adequate healthcare.

Expanding the coverage of the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction also contributes to job creation, increased income for people, and timely support for children in special circumstances, the elderly, people with disabilities, and low-income earners.

Besides solutions to improve people's quality of life, policy credit capital from the Social Policy Bank is considered an important "lever" helping people in Ea Ning commune access preferential capital, invest in production, and stabilize their lives.

Several areas within Ea Ning commune are well-suited for growing fruit trees, helping to increase household income.

Mr. Le Duc Minh, Director of the Cu Kuin Branch of the Social Policy Bank, said that as of November 30, 2025, the total outstanding loan balance in Ea Ning commune reached over 180 billion VND, an increase of more than 4 billion VND compared to the time of the merger. In the coming time, the Cu Kuin Branch of the Social Policy Bank will closely coordinate with Ea Ning commune to ensure that 100% of poor, near-poor, and newly-escaped-poverty households have access to loans to support production and increase income. Monitoring and social feedback will also be carried out regularly to track and inspect the implementation of policy credit in the area, ensuring that capital is used for the right purposes and achieves high efficiency…
