In implementing poverty reduction efforts, Ea Rốk commune has focused on leading and directing the disbursement of funds from Project 3 "Sustainable agricultural and forestry production development, leveraging the potential and strengths of different regions to produce goods along the value chain" under the National Target Program for socio -economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period 2021-2025 (Program 1719). Along with this, the commune directed villages and hamlets to hold meetings to review and assess households in need of support; and organized consultations with residents to provide suitable plant and animal breeds that meet their aspirations and conditions. The commune also coordinated with relevant agencies to organize training courses on livestock and crop farming techniques to help residents implement effective livelihood models.

The family of Ms. Duong Thi Hoa (village 4B, Cu Kbang) developed livestock farming after receiving support in the form of breeding cows from the Program 1719 funding.

Thanks to support from Program 1719, many poor and near-poor households in Ea Rok commune have had the opportunity to build production models and improve their family's economic situation. Specifically, the family of Ms. Duong Thi Hoa (Nung ethnic minority, in Hamlet 4B, Cu Kbang) has been classified as a poor household in the hamlet for many years. In 2024, her family received support in the form of two breeding cows from Project 3, Program 1719. Ms. Hoa was also given the opportunity to borrow an additional 20 million VND in preferential credit to buy two more breeding cows. Her family also participated in training courses on how to care for and prevent diseases in cows. As a result, the herd has developed well and has given birth to one calf. Ms. Hoa happily shared that she recently sold two cows to have more money to drill a well for irrigation and invest in farming. Developing both farming and livestock is an opportunity for her family to escape poverty.

Similarly, in 2024, the family of Ms. Luong Thi Chinh (of the Thai ethnic group, residing in Hamlet 19, Ea Rok) also received support in the form of two breeding cows. Thanks to careful care and thorough disease prevention, the cows grew well and have given birth to two calves.

The family of Ms. Luong Thi Chinh (in village 19, Ea Rok) received breeding cows from the Program 1719 fund to support their livestock farming.

It is known that during the period 2021-2025, from the capital of Program 1719, Ea Rok commune (including the former Ea Rok, Cu Kbang, and Ia Jloi communes) supported 604 breeding cows for 302 poor and near-poor households with a total amount of 11.8 billion VND. According to Trinh Van Cuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Rok commune: “Project 3 of Program 1719 for the period 2021-2025 has been contributing to creating stable livelihoods and opportunities for vocational retraining for the people. This is also the foundation for the locality to continue developing socio-economic aspects and achieving the goal of sustainable poverty reduction.”
