Accelerate towards the goal of developing new party members.

(GLO) - The Resolution of the First Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, sets a target of developing new Party members annually at 3% of the total number of Party members in the entire Party Committee.

Party organizations at the grassroots level in the province have made efforts to identify outstanding individuals, nurture them, and create a pool of potential candidates for new party members, ensuring both quality and quantity.

Established on July 1, 2025 (based on the merger of the Party Committees of Cat Tai, Cat Minh communes and Cat Khanh town), the De Gi commune Party Committee currently has 44 subordinate Party organizations. After more than 5 months of operating the two-tiered local government model, the commune Party Committee has identified Party member development as a key task in Party building work.

Ensure that assigned targets are met.

According to Pham Dung Luan, Secretary of the De Gi Commune Party Committee, the commune's Party Committee has assigned specific targets for developing new Party members to each branch, prioritizing the development of young people, female Party members, and Party members in residential areas.

The Party Committee directs the Party branches to strictly implement the procedures for recruiting, training, and admitting new Party members; and at the same time, actively propagate and educate on political ideology, cultivate revolutionary ideals, and promote moral lifestyles for the younger generation.

"By the beginning of December 2025, the commune's Party Committee had admitted 47 new Party members, exceeding the target by two points; raising the total number of Party members in the entire Party Committee to 1,239," Mr. Luan said.

As one of the exemplary Party branches in developing new Party members in De Gi commune, the An Quang Dong village Party branch currently has 36 regularly active Party members. According to Party branch secretary Dinh Xuan Loc, the branch has launched patriotic emulation movements, cultural and sports activities; and built cultural and recreational models and clubs… attracting members, union members, and the general public to participate.

These activities created a training environment to identify and nurture active individuals for Party membership. As a result, the Party branch admitted 4 new members, exceeding the target by 50%.

“I am very proud to be a member of the Party. I will always strive to be exemplary in my work, especially in developing my family's economy , participating in movements, and supporting the masses in their efforts to join the Party,” shared young Party member Ha Minh Tin (An Quang Dong village Party branch).

The Party Committee of Binh Dinh ward currently has 49 affiliated party organizations (over 1,700 party members), and according to the Resolution for 2025, it must recruit 66 new party members. The ward Party Committee has developed a detailed plan and is strengthening coordination with associations and organizations to create a comprehensive and diverse pool of potential party members for development.

According to Nguyen Thai Van, Head of the Party Building Committee, the ward's Party Committee always pays special attention to Party development work. As of November 2025, the ward's Party Committee had admitted 66 new Party members, accounting for 4% of the total number of Party members in the entire Party Committee, exceeding the target set in the Resolution by 1%.

"The workload after the merger is enormous, but we have identified Party development as a core task, not only to help the Party Committee gain more young members but also to ensure the continuity and development of the Party," Mr. Van emphasized.

Efforts to meet the target for recruiting new party members.

Besides the advantages, Party development work in some localities faces many difficulties. The biggest challenge comes from changes in the population and labor structure, namely the situation where many young people leave their localities to work in big cities; some young people abandon Party activities after completing their military service due to the conditions of working far from home...

According to Mai Viet Trung, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department, the Resolution of the First Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, sets a target of increasing the number of Party members by 3% or more annually out of the total number of Party members in the entire Party organization.

In 2025, the provincial Party Committee aims to recruit 4,309 new Party members. As of November 20, 2025, the province has admitted 3,611 new members. This December, the entire Party Committee strives to recruit an additional 698 new members to achieve the set target.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department requested that the Party Committees of communes and wards, and the Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee, closely supervise the work of developing new Party members in grassroots Party branches and committees. They should regularly evaluate, commend, and promptly criticize collectives and individuals in the implementation of Party member development work. Attention should be paid to recruiting Party members from the masses in private enterprises, foreign-invested enterprises, residential areas, the Youth Union, the health sector, the education sector, etc.

"Party committees and organizations at all levels must consider the recruitment of new party members as one of the important and regular tasks of Party building and organization," Comrade Mai Viet Trung emphasized.
