Regiment 762 integrates training with production, creating a solid foundation for improving soldiers' living standards and successfully completing all assigned tasks.
Over the past period, the Party Committee and the Military Command of Thanh Hoa province have focused on leading and directing the renewal of the content, form, and methods of organizing the emulation movement in the armed forces. The focus is on making the movement a real bridge between political tasks and the training and combat work of each unit, each officer, and each soldier. Adhering closely to the goals and requirements of the emulation movement, the provincial armed forces have implemented many rich, vibrant, and focused activities. From training grounds to residential areas, from central tasks to mass mobilization work, everywhere one can find a spirit of urgent, serious, and creative emulation.
Many good models and effective methods have been developed and replicated, such as: "Building comprehensively strong, exemplary, and outstanding units"; "The military logistics sector follows President Ho Chi Minh's teachings"; the campaign "Promoting traditions, contributing talents, and living up to the name of Ho Chi Minh's soldiers in the new era"... These specific and creative approaches have created a real transformation, contributing to building a healthy competitive environment, encouraging each collective and individual to proactively overcome difficulties, and strive to complete tasks well and excellently.
A prominent highlight of the emulation movement in the armed forces of Thanh Hoa province is its close connection with civilian affairs, military rear-area policies, and social welfare programs in the locality. Typical examples include the movements "Thanh Hoa Armed Forces joining hands to build new rural areas," "Armed Forces joining hands for the poor, leaving no one behind," and the program "Army officers and soldiers helping children go to school," which have been implemented synchronously and effectively. Through these efforts, the image of the soldiers of Uncle Ho continues to be deeply imprinted in the hearts of the people through their quiet, responsible, and compassionate actions.
During the period 2019-2025, the provincial armed forces mobilized tens of thousands of man-days, 500 tons of cement, 20,000 cubic meters of sand and stone... to build rural roads, village cultural houses, and irrigation canals. Simultaneously, they coordinated and supported the construction of nearly 300 "Houses of Great Solidarity," over 20 "Houses for Comrades," and nearly 60 "Houses of Compassion"; they also fostered 8 children in their families and provided regular support to 120 students with a total budget exceeding 1 billion VND... These figures not only demonstrate the effectiveness of the emulation movement but also serve as a vivid symbol of the close bond between the military and the people – where "commands from the heart" resonate more deeply and enduringly than any slogan.
Furthermore, the emulation movement for excellence in the armed forces of the province is closely linked to the implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo ; Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (11th and 12th terms) and Conclusion No. 21 of the 13th term on Party building and rectification; and Resolution No. 847 of the Central Military Commission on promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" and resolutely combating individualism in the new situation.
Through emulation movements, the Party building work within the provincial armed forces has undergone comprehensive changes in politics, ideology, organization, and ethics. The principle of democratic centralism has been strictly implemented; the quality of Party activities, especially branch meetings, has improved significantly; and the models of "Four Good Branches" and "Four Good Grassroots Party Committees" have been systematically and effectively developed. In particular, the pioneering and exemplary role of cadres and Party members continues to be promoted. Each cadre and Party member truly becomes a nucleus of unity, a source of moral support for the masses and soldiers in carrying out their duties, thereby creating a combined strength and high unity throughout the unit. This has significantly contributed to improving the quality of training and combat readiness. Models such as "Overcoming the sun and rain, enthusiastically practicing" and "One hour of enthusiasm is better than a day of perfunctory training" have been successfully implemented. "Sweat on the training ground saves blood on the battlefield"... has become a familiar motto on training grounds.
Training results showed a significant improvement, with 100% of subjects achieving good or excellent grades; competitions, sports events, and exercises were organized effectively and realistically, reflecting actual combat situations. Scientific research and technical innovation were intensified, with over 500 initiatives, improved models, and training aids applied in practice...
Evaluating the results and significance of the emulation movement in the provincial armed forces, Colonel Nguyen Xuan Toan, Deputy Political Commissar of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Military Command, affirmed: “The emulation movement in the armed forces over the past years has truly become a great spiritual driving force, a vivid measure of the responsibility, courage, and dedication of each officer and soldier in the provincial armed forces. Emulation is not just slogans, but is concretized through training results, combat readiness, building a regular and disciplined system, and through practical actions for the people. Through the movement, the spirit of solidarity, sense of responsibility, and self-discipline have been significantly enhanced, creating a solid foundation for the provincial armed forces to successfully complete all assigned tasks in all situations. From this strength, each soldier continues to steadfastly advance on the journey of protecting the Fatherland, maintaining peace and security for the people, and contributing to building a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized Thanh Hoa homeland.”
