Ensuring stable outlets for agricultural products.
Since 2014, the Provincial People's Committee has annually organized a conference connecting supply and demand for safe agricultural and food products in Thanh Hoa province. Through this, many contracts have been signed and maintained stably by businesses and cooperatives involved in the supply and consumption of safe agricultural and food products. Accordingly, in localities throughout the province, supply chains are being maintained and expanded, contributing to the supply of materials, seeds, and inputs, and ensuring stable output for farmers.
For example, the linkage between Dong Giao Export Food Joint Stock Company ( Ninh Binh ) and Phu Loc Agricultural Service Cooperative in Hoa Loc commune is a prime example. The company invests in providing pesticides, technical guidance, and guaranteed output, consuming over 1,000 tons of fruits and vegetables annually, valued at 8 to 10 billion VND through contracts. The linkage between VIETPO Joint Stock Company and the communes of Nga Son, Nga Thang, Nga An, and Ho Vuong helps to ensure stable consumption of 1,500 to 1,600 tons of potatoes per year, reducing the problem of "bumper harvests leading to price drops."
Another major supply chain is Vinagreen Investment and Development Joint Stock Company, which collaborates with numerous cooperatives and farmers in the province. The company provides capital, supplies, and seeds, and guarantees the purchase of thousands of tons of rice each season, giving farmers peace of mind while ensuring a high-quality raw material supply for processing and consumption. Notably, the bird's nest products of Thanh Hoa Bird's Nest Production and Trading Company Limited in Van Loc commune are also consistently sold through a contract with NAKOREA Trading Company Limited (Hanoi), generating an annual value of 1.8 to 2 billion VND.
Not only have large businesses participated, but many production facilities in the province have also clearly benefited from joining the supply-demand connection program. Trinh Quang Ngoc, Director of Ngoc Viet Mushroom Trading Co., Ltd. in Yen Phu commune, shared: “Participating in the supply-demand connection program has helped us not only sell our products well but also accumulate knowledge, develop our brand, and expand our market.”
In addition, nearly 100 businesses in the province participate in the supply and distribution chain of products in approximately 30 provinces and cities. Agricultural products, OCOP products, and regional specialties from Thanh Hoa are available in many large distribution systems such as Big C, Vinmart, BigGreen Vietnam, Fivimart, Metro, Son Ha, Tam Dat, etc. In Hanoi alone, nearly 30 Thanh Hoa businesses have supplied goods to supermarkets and large retail chains. For Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region, through cooperation programs between Thanh Hoa province and Ho Chi Minh City, and Thanh Hoa province and Can Tho city, many businesses from both sides have established stable production and consumption linkages. Annually, the province selects high-quality, distinctive agricultural products and OCOP products to participate in fairs and exhibitions in Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, and other Southern provinces. Several businesses maintain strong connections, such as Lam Son Sugar Corporation, Tien Nong Agricultural and Industrial Corporation, Vinagreen Company, Vinamilk Corporation in Thanh Hoa, and Thanh Hoa Dairy Corporation... Thanks to proactive market connections, Thanh Hoa's agricultural products are increasingly gaining a firm foothold, opening up opportunities to access markets with high quality requirements.
Create breakthroughs and expand consumer markets.
Since the beginning of 2025, agricultural trade promotion activities in the province have been strongly implemented, creating a breakthrough in both scale and effectiveness. The Department of Agriculture and Environment, in coordination with Hoang Hoa, Hop Tien, Sao Vang, and An Nong communes, organized four fairs to introduce safe agricultural products and food, attracting 160 businesses from within and outside the province, with nearly 11,000 visitors and shoppers. This is one of the direct and effective channels that helps people, cooperatives, and businesses reach customers, find new partners, and introduce their distinctive products to consumers.

The biggest highlight in 2025 is the supply-demand connection program, including a networking conference and an exhibition area for safe agricultural products and food, taking place from December 11th to 15th at Lam Son Square and Sao Mai Hotel, Hac Thanh Ward. At Lam Son Square, the exhibition area will have 300 booths, with nearly 100 booths from 21 provinces and cities nationwide. The fair space is expected to create a "direct trading platform" between consumers and producers, helping to expand the market for OCOP products and safe agricultural products from Thanh Hoa province.
Simultaneously, the supply-demand matching conference at the Sao Mai Hotel brought together numerous businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities from within and outside the province. Many cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding are expected to be signed, opening up opportunities to spread key agricultural products to a wider market. Nguyen The Hoang, Director of the Hai Binh Aquaculture Cooperative in Hai Binh commune, said: “In recent years, the cooperative has participated in many supply-demand matching programs, so our product supply to the market has increased. We hope that participating in this exhibition and product introduction will make it easier for our products to access and sign supply agreements with partners inside and outside the province, ensuring a more stable market.”
The events in the supply-demand matching program not only aim to boost product consumption but also facilitate the exchange of experiences between businesses and cooperatives in safe production and sustainable development. Through direct trade activities, OCOP products and agricultural specialties of the province have the opportunity to reach new customers, while promoting the image of local agricultural products to regions across the country. Organizing conferences, trade fairs, and supply-demand matching sessions is also considered a key solution in the development of the province's agriculture. These activities contribute to building brands, increasing product value, and promoting sustainable production-consumption linkages.
Supply-demand matching programs have been and continue to be a cornerstone in expanding markets and enhancing the value of the province's agricultural products. This is also an important prerequisite for the province to continue building its agricultural brand, aiming to become a shining example in the national agricultural sector.
