Five key tasks for the Phu Tho Provincial Women's Union in the 2025-2030 term.

Ms. Nguyen Hong Nhung, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairperson of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Tho province, and Chairperson of the Phu Tho Provincial Women's Union, stated: Innovating working methods and building a strong Women's Union organization is a key task for the Union in the new term.

According to the plan, the First Congress of Women's Representatives of Phu Tho Province, for the term 2025-2030, will take place on December 17-18. Ahead of the Congress, Ms. Nguyen Hong Nhung, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Tho Province, and Chairwoman of the Phu Tho Provincial Women's Union, spoke with a reporter from PNVN Newspaper about the results of implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Women's Representatives Congress for the period 2021-2025 and the direction and tasks for the term 2025-2030.

Could you please tell us about some of the outstanding achievements of the Provincial Women's Union during the period 2021-2025?

Ms. Nguyen Hong Nhung, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairperson of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Tho province, and Chairperson of the Phu Tho Provincial Women's Union.

Ms. Nguyen Hong Nhung: Closely following the leadership of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, the Provincial Women's Union Executive Committee has proactively innovated and unified its leadership and direction by selecting key activities, building and effectively implementing the overall plan and action program to implement the Congress Resolution, and the breakthroughs in the term.

Women's associations at all levels in the province have effectively implemented the emulation movement "Building the Vietnamese woman of the new era" with specific criteria linked to the implementation of Directive 05/CT-TW on continuing to promote the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style.

The campaign "Building a family with 5 no's and 3 clean's" has been implemented by all levels of the Women's Union in conjunction with the National Target Program for building new rural areas. Activities supporting women's entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and humanitarian and charitable activities have been emphasized; and forms of communication have been diversified. In particular, the work of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of women and children has been a priority for the Women's Union of Phu Tho province.

The annual performance targets and key tasks have been largely met or exceeded, affirming the position and prestige of the Association.

What key factors contributed to that impressive result, Madam?

Ms. Nguyen Hong Nhung: It can be affirmed that the spirit of solidarity, cohesion, and responsibility is the key factor creating outstanding results in the past term. The team of Women's Union officials from the provincial to the grassroots level in all three localities before the merger always demonstrated dedication, enthusiasm, and a willingness to overcome difficulties. They closely monitored the local areas, grasped the situation of women, and proactively advised on and effectively implemented emulation movements and tasks of the Women's Union, achieving and exceeding the targets set in the Congress Resolution.

These results are not simply statistics. Behind each target and achievement lies the dedication, effort, and responsibility of the female cadres and members of Phu Tho province. From models of women helping each other develop economically , to the movement to build "5 no, 3 clean" families, or activities supporting women's entrepreneurship, sustainable poverty reduction, and digital transformation in production... all contribute to affirming the increasingly important role and position of women in the new era.

The Phu Tho Provincial Women's Union has effectively implemented emulation movements and fulfilled its tasks, achieving and exceeding the set targets.

The merger of the Women's Union organizations in the three localities is a turning point, marking a change in organization and opening a new journey – a journey of connection, sharing, and mutual development. We clearly see the spirit of responsibility and solidarity from the Women's Union officials in all three localities. From the early days of preparing for the merger, the women have always worked together, exchanged experiences, and supported each other in organizing and implementing movements at the grassroots level, ensuring everything ran smoothly and efficiently.

This merger is not just an administrative connection, but also a connection of trust, tradition, and wisdom. Three localities with different strengths will blend together to create a stronger, more creative, and more united community.

Women's Union branches at all levels in Phu Tho province are accompanying their members and women in economic development.

+ What will be the key tasks that the Association will focus on in the coming period, Madam?

Ms. Nguyen Hong Nhung: In the coming time, the Provincial Women's Union will continue to build on the achievements, focusing on 5 key tasks : Promoting digital transformation in Union activities; Strengthening support for women's economic development, entrepreneurship, and technology mastery; Continuing to innovate the content and methods of Union activities to suit the two-tiered local government model, following the motto "wherever there are women, there are Union activities"; Improving the quality of Union officials at all levels, building a strong and comprehensive Union organization; Caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of women and children; actively participating in social welfare activities; and supporting disadvantaged women and ethnic minority women.

The Provincial Women's Union always pays attention to and cares for women and children in difficult circumstances.

I believe that, with the solid foundation built during the past term, along with the spirit of solidarity, unity, and determination of all cadres, members, and women in Phu Tho province, the women's movement and the work of the Women's Union in the province will continue to develop comprehensively, successfully implementing the resolutions of the Women's Congress at all levels, and fulfilling socio-economic development tasks for the goal of "a prosperous people, a strong nation, a democratic, just, and civilized society," and for the progress and development of women.

+ The draft political report presented to the First Congress of the Phu Tho Provincial Women's Union includes several directions, tasks, and solutions. Among them, the content regarding the renewal of operational methods to suit the times and the building of a strong Women's Union is a central task of the organization. Could you please tell us about the directions set forth by the Phu Tho Provincial Women's Union Congress for the new term, aiming to successfully achieve the targets related to building the Women's Union organization?

Ms. Nguyen Hong Nhung: Innovating working methods and building a strong Women's Union organization is a key task identified by the Phu Tho Provincial Women's Congress for the new term.

To successfully achieve the targets for building the Women's Union organization, the draft political report submitted to the First Congress of Phu Tho Provincial Women's Delegates has set forth several major directions as follows:

Firstly, there needs to be a strong renewal of the content and methods of the Association's activities towards a proactive, creative approach, applying digital technology; implementing flexible activity models that suit the needs of each group of women; and focusing on improving the efficiency and quality of management and organization of activities.

The Association's staff have had their capacity enhanced.

Secondly, we must build strong and comprehensive grassroots Women's Union organizations , focusing on consolidating branches and groups; improving the quality of activities and membership; developing new members while simultaneously training core members; strengthening our understanding of women's thoughts and feelings, and promptly accompanying, supporting, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of members.

Thirdly, enhance the capacity of the Association's staff through training and development in leadership skills, Association work expertise, and digital transformation skills; effectively implement planning, appointment, rotation, and recruitment of personnel to meet the requirements of the new phase.

Fourth, promote digital transformation in the Association's activities , build a unified membership database; strengthen the application of Association management software; promote communication, connection, and support for women through digital platforms; implement new models such as "Community Digital Transformation Teams with Women as the Core" and "Women's Digital Entrepreneurship".

Fifth, expand the participation of women and promote their role as key players in the community, linking the activities of the Women's Union with the practical needs and interests of women; strengthen support for women's economic development, building happy families, and participating in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

Sixth, strengthen coordination and mobilize resources from programs, projects, organizations, and businesses; promote the advisory role to Party committees and authorities in women's affairs and gender equality.

Finally, improve the quality of inspection and supervision work to ensure that the Association's activities are implemented effectively and closely at the grassroots level; promptly commend exemplary cases, and at the same time correct shortcomings so that the entire Association system operates increasingly professionally and effectively.

With these directions, I am confident that the Phu Tho Provincial Women's Union will continue to innovate, develop strongly, meet the requirements of the new era, and successfully achieve the targets set by the Congress.
