The activities of the "Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival" 2026 will take place over more than 3 months.

As Tet (Lunar New Year) approaches, Lang Son province hosts many cultural and artistic activities rich in national identity. As in previous years, the "Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival 2026" will be organized on a large scale, with many unique and diverse activities, and will be held early, before the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.

On the afternoon of December 11th, Mr. Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province and Head of the Organizing Committee for the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival and activities celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, chaired a meeting to review the progress of the plan and tasks of the Organizing Committee members; resolve difficulties and obstacles; and agree on specific contents for preparing the opening ceremony of the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival and activities within the framework of the festival.

This year's festival is themed "The Peach Blossoms of Lang Son - Connecting All Directions". Festival activities will take place from January 1, 2026 to March 16, 2026 (corresponding to the 13th day of the 11th lunar month of the Year of the Snake to the 28th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Horse). The festival is being held earlier than last year.

Representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province presented the plan and implementation methods for the "Binh Ngo 2026 Peach Blossom Festival".

Among these, the highlight is the opening ceremony of the Peach Blossom Festival, which will be held at 8 PM on February 7, 2026 (which is the 20th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Snake).

The festival features many special activities, including: a spring flower street, miniature landscapes, and a space promoting Lang Son's peach blossoms; an art program "Welcome to the New Year 2026" (Countdown to New Year) combined with artistic fireworks; a beautiful peach blossom tree contest and exhibition showcasing the most beautiful peach blossom trees of Lang Son in 2026; a peach blossom fair associated with tours and experiences showcasing the beauty of Lang Son's peach blossoms; a "Peach Blossom Route" race; and a painting contest featuring the most beautiful peach blossoms of Lang Son in 2026...

Relevant departments and experts organized a detailed presentation of activities celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year, associated with the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival.

In addition, several activities celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year are associated with the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival, such as: launching a campaign to encourage wearing traditional costumes of ethnic groups in Lang Son province in 2026; a thematic exhibition on "Cultural Heritage of the UNESCO Global Geopark Lang Son"; the Lang Son Spring Newspaper Fair 2026; an art program combined with fireworks to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Horse; and an art exchange program between the Bang Tuong Art Troupe, Guangxi, China in 2026...

To date, the preparations for the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival and other activities celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026 have been largely implemented on schedule, closely following the plan approved by the Provincial People's Committee; many key tasks have been completed early, creating favorable conditions for the peak implementation phase.

According to Doan Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province, "The 'Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival' is a large-scale event that attracts a large number of domestic and international tourists, so it needs to be organized systematically, scientifically , and effectively."

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Doan Thanh Son highly appreciated the proactive and positive efforts of the units in implementing the preparations for the festival. He also requested that relevant units develop communication plans and strengthen information and propaganda efforts through various forms. The subcommittees need to adhere closely to their assigned tasks and implement the plan correctly. Units should continue to coordinate effectively in matters of protocol, logistics, security, traffic safety, and environmental sanitation… ensuring that the Peach Blossom Festival and other activities celebrating the Party and the Spring Festival are successful and proceed according to plan.

"Regarding specific activities within the festival framework, we request that relevant agencies and units recalculate the scale of the spring flower street; arrange suitable space for the series of activities taking place on Hung Vuong Street, Luong Van Tri Ward; and conduct a thorough, scientific, and effective survey of the fireworks display location on New Year's Eve," Vice Chairman Doan Thanh Son emphasized.
