In early December, many orchards in communes and wards of Bac Ninh (formerly Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province) such as Chu, Nam Duong, Kien Lao, Phuong Son... are bustling with tourists from near and far coming to experience the ripening orange season.
Besides being able to pick and enjoy fresh, delicious fruit on the spot or buy it as gifts for friends and family, visitors to these orchards during this time can also take photos and check in to their heart's content.

Luong Van Toan (born in 2000, in Luc Nam district, formerly Bac Giang province) recently traveled about 20km from his home to an orange orchard in Bang Cong village, Kien Lao commune (Bac Ninh province) to experience the year-end orange harvest.
Toan said this was his third time visiting because he was impressed by the beautiful scenery of the garden during the orange ripening season.
"I've visited this orange orchard several times and I'm still not tired of it. Not only do I get to enjoy ripe oranges freshly picked from the tree, but I also have the opportunity to observe the process of the locals harvesting and selling the oranges, or take as many pictures as I like," Toán said.

According to the young man's observations, the orchard is very large, mainly planted with Vinh oranges, with the harvest season ranging from November to January each year. This is also the time when the orchard attracts a large number of tourists from neighboring provinces and cities.
Toan suggests that for a complete experience, tourists should visit the orange orchard in the morning or mid-afternoon (3 PM - 4 PM). At this time, the weather is pleasant, the sunlight is soft and golden, making it convenient for tourists to participate in outdoor activities such as picking oranges and taking photos.

The entrance fee to the orange orchard is 30,000 VND per person for adults, and free for children.
Before leaving, tourists can buy fresh oranges right in the orchard to take home as gifts for friends and relatives, at a price of about 30,000 – 35,000 VND/kg.
"I've tasted them and found the oranges grown here to be very sweet, juicy, and easy to eat, making them suitable as gifts for the whole family to enjoy," the young man shared.

According to Ms. Vu Thi Tan, the owner of the orange orchard that Toan visited, the orchard covers more than 4 hectares and is adjacent to the Bau Tien ecological tourist area, so the space is green, cool, and airy.
Besides selling the fruit, the orchard is also open to visitors who can come to tour, experience picking oranges, take photos, and enjoy the sweet fruit on the spot, which helps increase income and promote local produce.

The orchard owner revealed that, in order to have a bountiful orange orchard with high yields, her family applies cultivation techniques entirely according to VietGAP standards, prioritizing the use of organic fertilizers and minimizing the use of pesticides.
As a result, the orange trees thrive, develop beautiful canopies, and produce consistently high-quality fruit. When ripe, the fruit is a vibrant yellow, with thin skin, plenty of juice, and a distinctive sweet and refreshing taste.
If you have the chance to visit the orange groves, you can combine it with exploring the nearby Bau Tien eco-tourism area, which offers many exciting outdoor activities, and don't forget to enjoy the delicious local dishes and specialties.
