According to the Beijing Meteorological Observatory, this snowfall occurred when moist air from the south met cold air from the north around midday, as previously predicted. The low temperatures are making it difficult for the snow to melt, and a thick blanket of snow is expected, with 2-6 mm of snowfall. The central area is likely to remain snow-covered for the next few days, and residents can continue to enjoy the snow this weekend.
