Rare wild animals voluntarily surrendered by local people were released back into Bach Ma National Park.

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of December 12th, the Department of Economic Infrastructure and Urban Development - An Cuu Ward People's Committee, in coordination with the Central Forest Protection Unit - Hue City Forest Protection Department and the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Wildlife - Bach Ma National Park, released rare wild animals voluntarily surrendered by local people back into their natural environment.

Earlier, a resident on Phan Boi Chau Street voluntarily handed over a rare Javan pangolin, scientifically known as (Manis javanica), belonging to group IB. The Javan pangolin weighed 1.2 kg and was in normal health.

Upon verifying the origin of this animal, authorities confirmed that it is a wild animal living in its natural environment that got lost on the road, and its owner could not be identified.

After completing the necessary procedures, the relevant authorities coordinated to release the Javan pangolin back into its safe natural environment at Bach Ma National Park that same afternoon.
