On the afternoon of December 9th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province announced a series of major activities to be implemented at the end of 2025 to stimulate local tourism.
According to the plan, the Countdown art program to welcome the new year 2026, combined with the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the first General Election, will take place on December 31, 2025, at 30/10 Square, in Ha Long Ward.

According to the leaders of the Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism , the program will last approximately 180 minutes and will feature spectacular artistic performances, combining modern projection technology, sound, lighting, visuals, mapping, and a high-altitude fireworks display.
This year's Countdown program, with an expected attendance of 50,000 people, promises to create a joyful atmosphere to encourage the entire population to enter the new year with confidence and determination to successfully accomplish the tasks of 2026, while also promoting the image of Quang Ninh as a dynamic, creative, and integrated province – an attractive destination for tourism, culture, and regional-level festivals and events.
Furthermore, from December 18-22, Quang Ninh will host a series of major events including: the commemoration ceremony for the 717th anniversary of the passing into Nirvana of Emperor Tran Nhan Tong; the ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiet Bac complex of historical and scenic sites as a World Cultural Heritage site; and the Yen Tu Festival "Journey of Heritage - World Quintessence".
These programs are chaired by the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, in coordination with the Hai Phong City People's Committee and the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee, and implemented at the Yen Tu historical and scenic site.
The art program promises to continue to showcase the distinctive characteristics of the mining region.
Through activities aimed at widely promoting the values of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiet Bac World Cultural Heritage sites to people both domestically and internationally, the aim is to spread the noble moral, intellectual, and humanistic values of Emperor Tran Nhan Tong in contemporary life.
Through a series of large-scale activities, Quang Ninh affirms its steady progress in developing the cultural industry in conjunction with sustainable tourism, contributing to the realization of the goal of building this locality into a regional cultural and artistic center.
The linkage promotes the Truc Lam Yen Tu heritage area between Quang Ninh - Hai Phong - Bac Ninh, expanding the cultural and tourism space in the Northeast region.
Quang Ninh has recently gained experience in organizing art programs with the participation of tens of thousands of people, creating a highlight in attracting tourists to experience the province.
