Dresser will be responsible for global revenue strategy, helping businesses apply AI to their daily operations. She previously spent more than a decade at Salesforce, where she played a key role in integrating Slack after its $27.7 billion acquisition in 2020. In 2023, she was tapped by CEO Marc Benioff to lead Slack.
The decision comes as OpenAI faces growing competitive pressure from rivals like Google with Gemini 3. CEO Sam Altman recently launched an internal “code red” to improve ChatGPT and delay other projects to focus on the flagship product.
Microsoft to invest $17.5 billion in AI infrastructure in India
Microsoft has just announced its largest investment ever in Asia, worth $17.5 billion over the next four years to develop cloud computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure in India.
The information was shared by CEO Satya Nadella after a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. Nadella said the investment is aimed at helping India build the “infrastructure, skills and sovereign capabilities” needed for the AI future.
The move comes amid fierce competition among global tech giants to expand in India – one of the world’s fastest-growing digital markets. Google had earlier announced plans to invest $15 billion to build an AI center in Visakhapatnam.
Microsoft currently has more than 22,000 employees in India and is expanding its data center network to meet advanced computing needs. The company plans to open its largest data center in the country by mid-2026.

Moore Threads, billed as China’s answer to Nvidia, made a splash with its stock rising fivefold in just two trading days. The strong investor interest reflects Beijing’s push for technological self-sufficiency and the development of its domestic semiconductor industry, with High-Flyer posting a profit of nearly 40 million yuan ($5.6 million).
Liang Wenfeng said DeepSeek is in no rush to raise outside funding thanks to the abundant resources from High-Flyer, which allows the company to focus on developing cost-effective AI models and partnering with domestic hardware manufacturers to build an autonomous AI ecosystem.
