Two traditional dishes from Da Nang have made it into the top 100 best noodle dishes in the world.

Recently, information from the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism indicated that two rustic yet distinctive dishes of Da Nang, Quang noodles and Cao Lau, have once again made their mark by being honored by Taste Atlas in the Top 100 best noodle dishes in the world in 2026.

According to Taste Atlas – a platform considered a “ world food map” – Quang noodles continue to win over diners with their rich flavor, wide, golden noodles, concentrated broth, roasted peanuts, fresh herbs, and grilled rice paper. This rustic dish has been a part of local life for generations, embodying the simple yet free-spirited nature of Da Nang.

2.jpg Meanwhile, Cao Lau impresses with its unique chewy noodles, fragrant and sweet braised pork, fresh herbs, and distinctive flavor that is hard to mistake. Despite undergoing many changes over time, this dish has retained its original essence, becoming one of the iconic culinary symbols that tourists always seek out when visiting Da Nang.

This recognition is not only a source of pride for Da Nang's cuisine, but also an opportunity to attract the attention of international tourists. The presence of Quang noodles and Cao Lau in this prestigious ranking contributes to enhancing the status of Da Nang's cuisine, while also opening up a chance for Da Nang to more fully showcase its unique cultural and culinary values.
