In the Top 100 Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam: Masan High-Tech Materials demonstrates persistent efforts

Masan High-Tech Materials Joint Stock Company (MHT) has just been honored in the Top 100 Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam (CSI 2025) announced by the Business Council for Sustainable Development - Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VBCSD-VCCI) in Hanoi (December 5). This is the eighth consecutive year that MHT has been included in this prestigious ranking.

2025 marks the eighth consecutive year that MHT has been included in the CSI100 rankings.

With the theme “New Chapter of the Green Era”, CSI 2025 reflects the strong shift of the Vietnamese business community from a pure growth model to a balanced development between economy and social and environmental responsibility. In the context of green economy becoming a global standard, the mining industry is taking on a new role: providing strategic raw materials for clean industries such as electric vehicles, renewable energy, aerospace and semiconductors.

MHT’s tungsten, fluorspar and bismuth products play a key role in improving equipment performance and driving clean technology development. Thanks to their superior physical properties, these materials are used in wind turbines, solar panels, batteries, electric vehicles and semiconductor components, contributing to the global Net-Zero target and global emissions reduction.

Standardize governance according to international ESG standards

MHT pursues the model - Accompanying - Sharing - Developing together - for the local community.

The CSI 2025 index evaluates businesses on four pillars: Economy - Environment - Society - Governance (ESG). For MHT, ESG is not just a criterion to "meet", but a strategic foundation to redefine the modern mining model.

In 2024, the Company completed a set of ESG KPI indicators for the 2025-2030 period, creating a foundation for measuring, controlling and improving environmental and social impacts according to international standards. MHT aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 15% by 2030 compared to the baseline year 2023, achieving net zero emissions by 2045, joining global efforts to respond to climate change.

In 2025, MHT's High-Tech Tungsten Plant (MTC) will achieve RMAP (Responsible Minerals Assurance Process) certification - one of the world's most prestigious standards for the "3TG" responsible mineral supply chain. This achievement will help MHT's Tungsten products be recognized in global high-tech supply chains, affirming the position of Vietnamese enterprises that meet international ESG standards. MTC also maintains international certifications such as ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 50001:2018.

Technological innovation, resource circulation

MHT invests heavily in training, benefits and occupational safety, while building a friendly and professional working environment.

MHT has vigorously implemented the green production orientation with a series of technological initiatives to reduce emissions and optimize resource use, including: Recirculating 78% of production wastewater, growing energy crops on mine land, replacing fluorescent lighting systems with energy-saving LED lights, researching the reuse of oxide tailings as construction materials, and converting coal-fired boilers to Biomass. These solutions contribute to improving operational efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and promoting a green mining model according to international standards.

Sustainable community development

For MHT, ESG is not just a criterion to be met, but a strategic foundation to redefine the modern mining model.

Not only meeting international sustainability standards in technology, environment and governance, Masan High-Tech Materials also focuses on implementing social responsibility, aiming to build a prosperous and sustainable community. More than 40% of employees have been with the Company for over 10 years. In 2025, Masan High-Tech Materials continues to be honored as a "Great Place to Work" for the third consecutive time.
