Hue promotes heritage conservation and cultural industry development in 2026

In its report to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the results of cultural, sports and tourism activities in 2025 and key tasks for 2026, Hue City set many specific goals.

Accordingly, Hue City aims to complete 100% of the tasks under the 2026 Work Program of the City People's Committee; at the same time, implement approved projects and plans on schedule and effectively. According to the plan, the city will build dossiers of 15-20 relics proposed for ranking, including dossiers of special national relics; implement restoration, embellishment and promote the value of 13-15 relics (outside the Complex of Hue Monuments) with various funding sources. One of the key tasks is to focus on building a scientific dossier to propose UNESCO to recognize Hue Singing as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

In 2026, Hue City will continue to implement national target programs for the 2025-2035 period, including the Socio -Economic Development Program for Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas; Project 6 on preserving and promoting fine traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development; National target program on cultural development.

The city plans to organize 250 art performances; 500 film screenings and mobile propaganda; issue over 3,000 reader cards, serve over 150,000 readers at the library and online; organize 20 exhibitions. Museums strive to attract 250,000 or more visitors.

In the field of sports, the city aims to organize about 400 competitions, including 60-70 city-level competitions, 10-15 national competitions and 1-2 international competitions. Hue City athletes strive to win 330-370 medals at domestic and international competitions, including 30-35 international medals.

To achieve the above goals, Hue City has proposed many key groups of tasks and solutions: improving the effectiveness of state management; promoting the development of culture and cultural industry; promoting heritage values; building a civilized urban and rural lifestyle; improving the quality of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life"; developing mass sports and high-performance sports; promoting information, propaganda and press and publishing management; promoting digital transformation and application of science and technology; socializing cultural, sports and tourism activities; expanding international cooperation...

Hue City also made a number of recommendations and proposals to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, including: organizing specialized training courses on heritage management, destination management training, international tour guides, tourism promotion officers and digital tourism human resources to foster specialized skills for staff in charge of culture and tourism at the grassroots level.

In addition, create conditions for Hue to participate in display and exhibition activities, host national and international events on culture, sports and tourism, promotion and cooperation programs in the fields of culture, sports and tourism domestically and internationally to affirm the position of Hue city as a unique cultural and tourism center, a typical Festival city of Vietnam.

At the same time, the city also requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to provide professional support in developing and completing the set of green tourism criteria for Hue City, in accordance with national sustainable tourism criteria and international practices, towards developing green - clean - sustainable tourism./.
