The 34th World Memory Championships ( WMC 2025) brings together nearly 300 intellectual athletes from almost 30 countries and territories, marking a historic milestone as Vietnam pioneers the application of real-time scoring technology in an international competition system.
After more than three decades of formation and development (since 1991), the World Brain Sports Conference (WMC) is considered the "Olympics" of intellectual sports . The fact that Vietnam has been awarded the right to host the WMC 2025 by the World Brain Sports Council (WMSC) not only affirms its capacity to organize world-class events, but also realizes the vision of making Vietnam a new global brain hub.

This year, the tournament witnessed the arrival of super memory powers such as: England, Germany, America, Japan , China, India, Mongolia... competing in 10 of the most challenging subjects in terms of speed, accuracy and mental endurance (memorizing numbers quickly, abstract images, listening to remember numbers...).
Raymond Keene, President of the World Memory Council (WMC), commented ahead of the opening ceremony: "I have witnessed the history of this competition for the past 34 years, but the energy and preparation of Vietnam this year truly amazed me. With the application of new technology and a wonderful spirit of hospitality, I believe WMC 2025 will be the most emotional competition and create unprecedented records."
Representatives from the Algerian Super Memory Federation were also present in Ho Chi Minh City.

Experts expect that, with thorough preparation and the enthusiasm of the host country, the Vietnamese super memory athletes - with a core of young talents from the HITA community - will make spectacular breakthroughs, promising to break 2-3 world records in their strong categories such as Picture Memory and Rapid Numbers.
The opening ceremony will officially take place on the morning of December 12th, and the closing ceremony and awards presentation will be held on the evening of December 14th.
