The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department has just dismantled a transnational criminal ring. In just three months, the ring conducted transactions worth approximately 1,500 billion VND through numerous bank accounts.
The special task force chose a crucial link in Vietnam as a breakthrough point. At a warehouse in Ngai Thang neighborhood, Dong Hoa ward ( Ho Chi Minh City), police caught three people red-handed and seized 93 kg of synthetic drugs and 10 blocks of heroin.
The second raid at the warehouse on Pham Thi Giay Street (Dong Thanh Commune, Ho Chi Minh City) resulted in the arrest of two more people and the seizure of 43 kg of synthetic drugs and 300 packets of "happy water" liquid. This type of drug has been frequently involved in recent cases.
Immediately afterwards, four overseas task forces and twenty domestic task forces, comprising nearly 200 officers and soldiers, simultaneously raided multiple locations.
Abroad, the joint forces arrested 8 people (including 2 foreigners), searched 3 locations, and seized 38 kg of drugs, along with various liquids and machinery used to produce methamphetamine and "happy water" drugs.
In Ho Chi Minh City, eight people were arrested and 250 pills and 50 grams of synthetic drugs were seized. In Dong Nai , thirteen people were arrested and 10 grams of synthetic drugs, three guns, 15 bullets, and four cars were seized.
In Vinh Long, two people were arrested and 200 grams of synthetic drugs were seized. In Tay Ninh , one person was arrested.
In total, the task force arrested 37 people, including 2 foreigners, and seized 174 kg of synthetic drugs, 10 blocks of heroin, 300 packets of ecstasy liquid, various other liquids and manufacturing equipment, 3 guns, 15 bullets, 4 cars, and numerous related documents.
Initial investigations revealed that in just three months, from July to October 2025, the ring conducted transactions totaling approximately 1,500 billion VND through multiple bank accounts. Currently, the investigation is being expanded to apprehend the remaining suspects.
In recognition of their achievements, Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Long sent a letter of commendation. At the same time, the Ministry of Public Security, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, and the Customs Department of the Ministry of Finance awarded special bonuses to the teams involved in solving the case.
