The 14.7km section of Ring Road 3 passing through Long Binh ward (Ho Chi Minh City) is nearing completion, connecting industrial zones with the urban areas of Binh Thang, Long Binh, Long Truong, and An Phuoc. Construction activity across the entire site has been accelerated these days. According to the plan, some sections of Ring Road 3 will be open for technical traffic by December 19th.

According to observations at the construction site in eastern Ho Chi Minh City, along the 14.7km section spanning packages XL1 (construction 1) to XL3 (construction 3), the bridge spans running through the Vinhomes Grand Park area have been connected seamlessly, forming an elevated overpass axis xuyên through the residential area.

Along the section from Vinhomes Grand Park urban area extending to package XL2, the completion of railings, median strips, and other supporting infrastructure items is being carried out simultaneously.

In particular, this area is installing soundproof and dustproof glass systems to ensure safety and reduce environmental impact when the road becomes operational.

Currently, the contractor's top priority is to complete the launching and installation of girders along the entire elevated bridge to meet the technical opening deadline.

At package XL2, construction work is also being carried out urgently, with maximum manpower and machinery mobilized for the main items to ensure completion on schedule.

On the construction site, machinery and materials are being mobilized to the maximum extent, and sections of the elevated bridge are clearly taking shape, demonstrating the effort to adhere closely to the planned schedule for technical opening to traffic.

Alongside the elevated overpass, the parallel road is also being constructed simultaneously.

Package XL1 is a crucial component, connecting Dong Nai with Ho Chi Minh City, and plays a key role in completing the elevated road section of the project.

At the construction site of the Ring Road 3 interchange with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport is still completing the ramps to connect component project 1A (Nhon Trach Bridge) with component project 1. Currently, only one ramp connecting the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway with Nhon Trach Bridge is operational at this interchange.

According to a report from the Ministry of Construction, by December 19th, several sections of the Ring Road 3 will be open for technical traffic, totaling 29.2km out of 70.1km. Specifically, Ho Chi Minh City will open 14.7km of elevated bridge in Long Binh ward; Dong Nai province 5km; Binh Duong ward 3.1km; and Tay Ninh 6.4km.
It is expected that by April 30, 2026, the entire 70.1km will be completed and open for technical traffic; by June 30, 2026, the entire Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project, including the parallel road, will be open to traffic.

The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project spans 76.3km with a total investment of VND 75,378 billion. According to the investor, the 10 main construction packages are being implemented on schedule, while maximizing resources to compensate for delays caused by various factors such as material shortages, infrastructure relocation, or contractor delays, aiming to ensure the entire route is completed by mid-2026.
