A teacher from Dong Thap province was crowned Miss Crescent Moon Vietnam in its first season.

Teacher Nguyen Thi Minh Tam from Dong Thap province has just been crowned Miss Crescent Moon Vietnam 2025. Despite losing her left leg in a traffic accident, she has always strived tirelessly, balancing teaching with charitable work.

On the evening of December 12th, the Miss Crescent Moon Vietnam 2025 final took place at the HTV Center in Binh Duong , Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of 21 contestants from various provinces and cities. Artisan Nguyen Dinh Phuc, the head of the organizing committee, stated that this is the first time in Vietnam that a beauty pageant has been held to honor women with disabilities who possess inner beauty.

What sets this competition apart is its admission criteria. It's open to Vietnamese women with partial physical disabilities, aged 18 to 45. After regional preliminary rounds in the North and South, the organizers select the top 21 finalists.

Due to the contestants' health issues, the organizers shortened the competition rounds. The Top 21 participated in the traditional Vietnamese dress and evening gown segments, and the Top 3 were selected for the Q&A round.

Ultimately, Nguyen Thi Minh Tam from Dong Thap was crowned Miss.

The titles of first and second runner-up went to Ha Thi Nhu Quynh ( Hanoi ) and Nguyen Thi Hai (Ho Chi Minh City), respectively. The organizers also awarded several other special prizes.

The organizing committee awarded the title to teacher Nguyen Thi Minh Tam.

Nguyen Thi Minh Tam, born in 1986, is currently a teacher at Thien Ho Duong High School (Cao Lanh Ward, Dong Thap Province).

In 2008, Minh Tam graduated from university and took up a position at Tan Thanh High School, a school in a remote area of ​​the province. In 2009, while encouraging students to attend class, she was involved in a traffic accident, resulting in severe injuries to her left leg, requiring amputation and the loss of her left leg. After undergoing rehabilitation with a prosthetic leg, she requested a transfer to Thien Ho Duong High School for easier commuting and to care for her elderly mother.

In 2015, Minh Tam founded the Nhat Tam Volunteer Group, actively helping those in difficult circumstances, especially people with disabilities like herself.

Prior to winning this beauty queen title, on December 6th, teacher Nguyen Thi Minh Tam was one of five outstanding disabled individuals with talent and significant contributions to the community honored in the "Limits Are the Sky" program – recognizing exemplary disabled individuals. The program, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural Center in collaboration with other units, is part of the Overcoming Challenges Project.

For her journey of spreading love and compassion, teacher Minh Tâm was honored at the "The Sky Is the Limit" program.
