One of the oldest churches in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to information from the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City, Tan Dinh Church is one of the earliest religious buildings constructed in Saigon. The "Pink Church" was started in 1870 and inaugurated in December 1876.
Having existed for over a century, the building has undergone numerous repairs, restorations, and expansions, yet it has retained its original architectural style, becoming a unique historical and cultural landmark of Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City.

The ancient sanctuary space of Tan Dinh Church
To commemorate its 100th anniversary, Tan Dinh Church underwent a major renovation: the entire structure was repainted, the iron fence was removed, the sanctuary was raised, polished green stone was laid, and the ceiling and bell tower were comprehensively repaired.
Subsequent restorations in 1999 and 2000 further enhanced the building's magnificent appearance, helping the church maintain its architectural and aesthetic value to this day.

Tan Dinh Church is considered by experts to be one of the most beautiful religious buildings in Ho Chi Minh City, harmoniously combining three European architectural styles: Romanesque (dating back to the Middle Ages, characterized by rounded domes, thick walls, and small windows ) , Gothic (notable for its pointed domes, large stained-glass windows, and high ceilings ) , and Baroque (featuring ornate decorations, graceful curves, and a sense of movement ) .

According to observations by a reporter from Thanh Nien Newspaper on the afternoon of December 12, Tan Dinh Church has a capacity of approximately 1,000 people.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung (43 years old, residing in Tan Dinh ward), a long-time parishioner of the church, said that compared to before, the building has only undergone minor changes, mainly the grounds being neatly fenced, and the sidewalk in front being more spacious and clean. According to Mr. Trung, these adjustments do not detract from the church's original charm, but rather contribute to creating an orderly and convenient space for parishioners to move around and practice their religion.

The series of arched corridors covered with fish-scale tiles, the round windows, and the system of intricately carved angel statues create a beauty that is both sturdy and delicate for the building.
