Special cheering songs of Vietnamese taekwondo
In recent days, the taekwondo arena at Fashion Island shopping mall (Bangkok) has witnessed a new wave of cheering, led by the Vietnamese taekwondo team and then spreading to other teams.
After witnessing the Vietnamese taekwondo team make an impression with their goosebumps-inducing cheering songs, the delegations from Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and others didn't want to be outdone, even improvising on the spot to create a very lively atmosphere.
Currently, the Vietnamese taekwondo team has three cheerleading routines, including "We Are One," which they have been using regularly since 2015. All are in English so that all countries can clearly understand the message of the Vietnamese taekwondo team's cheering.
The first song, " Who Are We ?", is used when the athletes enter the field. After the chant, the entire team responds in unison: VIE Team . This is followed by a motivational chorus with the phrase "Fighting" to encourage their teammates as the athletes compete.

The cheers from the stands gave the athletes on the mat a boost of energy.

The second song, titled "Vietnam Spirit," will be played during breaks to boost the morale of the athletes with chants such as "Vietnam One Team " and "Vietnam Let's Go ."
These are two new cheering songs created by members of the Vietnamese taekwondo team, incorporating modifications and improvements to fully complement the familiar song "We Are One," which is used for cheering before, during, and after matches for the athletes.
"Goosebumps" from the flames emanating from the stands.
Athlete Nguyen Thien Phung, author of two new cheering songs, expressed: "Since 2015, the team has had the song ' We Are One' with the message that whether it's the Vietnamese team or any other team, win or lose, we are all one family."
This year, when the Vietnamese taekwondo team went to South Korea for training, we met many university teams and heard many cheers. Teacher Nguyen Thanh Huy asked me to transcribe them and obtain copyright permission to add some cheering ideas from the Korean students.

Taekwondo had a successful SEA Games 33 with 4 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals.

From there, I created a new cheerleading routine with modifications to better suit Vietnam. Then, I wrote it down for the members of the Vietnamese taekwondo team to practice, helping to diversify the team's cheerleading routines.
After the team adopted two new routines from the Southeast Asian Championships in Vietnam last August, many coaches and athletes asked about them and enthusiastically praised the Vietnamese taekwondo team for their innovative cheering style. This made me very happy because I was one of the people who contributed to creating these cheers."
The effectiveness of these cheers can be seen in the impressive achievement of the Vietnamese taekwondo team: 4 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals. Many athletes shared that the powerful and meaningful cheers from the stands moved them to the point of getting "goosebumps," giving them more courage to overcome many difficulties during the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.
