The Museum of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures and the Vietnam-Japan Cultural Exchange Association presented certificates to representatives of the clubs.
Representatives from the clubs received certificates of participation in the program.

As part of a series of activities promoting cultural exchange and connection between the two countries, the program offered a vibrant and emotional atmosphere with the participation of 5 Yosakoi clubs from Hanoi .

In addition, there were performances showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam by two clubs: Doi Hoa - Viet Bac College of Culture and Arts (performing Then and Khen) and Sang Co Na Mao Club, Phu Xuyen commune, Thai Nguyen province.

The Vietnam-Japan Cultural Exchange Association presents the Yosakoi dance, which originates from Japan. Yosakoi is a dance that emerged shortly after World War II, when Japan was going through a difficult period.

With its vibrant rhythm, powerful movements, and radiant smiles, Yosakoi embodies optimism, conveying a positive message of life and hope. Over time, Yosakoi has spread throughout Japan and become one of the distinctive cultural features of the "Land of the Rising Sun."

Today, Yosakoi has become popular in many countries around the world , including Vietnam. Along with the development of cultural exchange between Vietnam and Japan, Yosakoi is especially popular in major cities and attracts a large number of students.

The Yosakoi performance
The Yosakoi performance "Phong Chi Vu - Rainbow Dream" was presented by the Nui Truc Sakura Club.

Yosakoi clubs in Vietnam not only maintain the traditional Yosakoi spirit but also innovate, incorporating Vietnamese cultural elements into the dance, creating a unique and distinctive style.

Many Vietnamese Yosakoi clubs have achieved proud milestones such as: being awarded the title of "Yosakoi Ambassador in Vietnam" (2017), receiving the Cup of the Kochi Prefecture Yosakoi Festival (2023), participating in the World Yosakoi Festival and the Vietnam-Japan Cultural Exchange program in August 2025 at EXPO Osaka.

Every year, the Vietnam Yosakoi Festival is held in April, bringing together about 20 domestic teams and nearly 10 teams from Japan, with a total of almost 900 dancers participating.

The Vietnam-Japan Cultural Exchange Program 2025 marks the first time a large-scale Yosakoi performance has been held at the Museum of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures.

The event not only aims to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Museum's founding but also provides an opportunity for audiences in Thai Nguyen to access unique cultural values from Japan, thereby contributing to promoting the increasingly strong and profound friendship and cultural cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.
