As expected, in the women's 10m air pistol team event, Thu Vinh and her two teammates, Nguyen Thuy Trang and Trieu Thi Hoa Hong, performed impressively to win the gold medal with a total score of 1711, breaking the SEA Games record.

Moving on to the afternoon session, Karate quickly delivered good news when the quartet of martial artists Nguyen Thi Dieu Ly, Hoang Thi My Tam, Dinh Thi Huong, and Nguyen Thi Thu brought home the gold medal in the women's team Kumite event.
Entering the match against the host team Thailand with confidence and thorough professional preparation, the Vietnamese girls asserted their class by winning decisively with a score of 2-0 to secure the third gold medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation on the day of competition.

Tran Hoang Khoi brought home a historic gold medal for Vietnamese bowling at the regional competition.
This is also the sixth gold medal for Karate at this Games; and this result also helps the Vietnamese Karate team maintain its number one position in the women's team kumite event at three consecutive SEA Games (31, 32, and 33).
In the bowling competition, young athlete Tran Hoang Khoi also delivered an impressive performance, defeating Thai athlete Napat with a score of 235-210 to win a historic gold medal for Vietnamese bowling in the regional competition.
Good news at the end of the day for the Vietnamese sports delegation as swimmer Pham Thanh Bao successfully defended his gold medal in the men's 200m breaststroke, finishing first in the final heat with a time of 2 minutes 12.81 seconds. This is the 5th gold medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation today.
At the end of the competition day on December 14th, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation had won 35 gold medals, 34 silver medals, and 64 bronze medals.
