In the early morning, with the mist still clinging to the pristine white blossoms of the Sophora tree, Tay, Dao, and San Chi girls in their vibrant traditional costumes, along with a large crowd of villagers, eagerly gathered at the cultural centers of the villages in the three communes of Hoanh Mo, Luc Hon, and Binh Lieu ( Quang Ninh province) to participate in the 2025 National Unity Day. In this lively cultural atmosphere, filled with solidarity, the staff and young intellectual volunteers of Forestry Station 156 joined in the joy of the local people.

Over the past period, soldiers and young intellectuals from Forestry Station 156 have always stood side-by-side with the people in the three communes fighting poverty, like close sons and sisters of each village and hamlet. On the National Unity Day, they returned to their people, to their second home, and continued to stand with the people in the struggle to thwart the schemes and tactics of hostile forces seeking to divide the national unity.

Officials from Forestry Station 156 are disseminating information on the contents of Project 57 to the people of Na Sa village, Hoanh Mo commune, Quang Ninh province.

Forestry Station 156 carries out its duties in three communes where over 90% of the population are ethnic minorities. The Party Committee and command of the Forestry Station have proactively developed plans and coordinated with local Party committees, authorities, and mass organizations to implement the contents of Project 57. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huy Hoang, Director of Forestry Station 156, said: “We chose to conduct the propaganda on the National Unity Day because it is a meaningful event that helps people understand the value and strength of unity. The day also creates a friendly atmosphere to vividly convey the propaganda content to a large number of people.”

To implement Project 57, the Director of Forestry Station 156 stated that the unit had organized training for cadres, staff, and young volunteer intellectuals on skills and methods of propaganda and mobilization among ethnic minorities; improved their proficiency in ethnic languages; and coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to determine appropriate content, time, location, and forms of propaganda.

During the National Unity Day celebration, Forestry Station 156 established propaganda teams to visit every village and hamlet in the three communes. Staff, employees, and young volunteer intellectuals integrated propaganda through diverse methods such as distributing leaflets, broadcasting messages, engaging in discussions and dialogues, disseminating policies, and providing information.

Participating in the propaganda team in Na Sa village (Hoanh Mo commune), Major Nguyen Trong Tuan, Assistant to the Political Department of Forestry Station 156, said: “We focus on disseminating to the people the policies and guidelines of the Party, State, and Army in socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas, clearly exposing the schemes and tactics of hostile forces to sow discord and undermine national unity, especially forms of fraud on social media.”

The commander of Forestry Station 156 presents gifts to the people of Nam Tut village, Luc Hon commune, Quang Ninh province during the National Unity Day celebration in 2025.

To make the information easily understandable for the local people, the propaganda materials compiled by Forestry Station 156 are concise, with illustrative videos , images, and audio. In particular, the officers, staff, and young volunteer intellectuals use the local dialect to disseminate the information. Along with providing information to the people, the Forestry Station also distributes gifts to villages and households in difficult circumstances. These meaningful activities are received with joy by the people, further strengthening their trust in the soldiers and young intellectuals of the Forestry Station.

Ms. Chiu Tai Mui, a Dao ethnic woman residing in Keo Chan village (Luc Hon commune), shared: “Hearing the propaganda from the soldiers of Forestry Station 156, I have become aware of the schemes and tactics of evil people. I, along with the villagers, will unite with the soldiers and local authorities to actively participate in economic development and build a healthy life in the residential area.”

Initial successes have laid the groundwork for Forestry Station 156 to continue promoting propaganda work according to the content of Project 57. Lieutenant Colonel Pham Xuan Kha, Political Commissar of Forestry Station 156, said: “In the coming time, the unit will continue to implement the contents of Project 57 through field exercises, civilian outreach activities, cultural and artistic exchanges, and sports. Along with propaganda, the troops will focus on activities to help people eradicate hunger and poverty, build new rural areas, create trust and solidarity in the community, contribute to maintaining the safety of the area, and contribute to building a solid "people's defense" in the northeastern border region of the Fatherland.”
