At the meeting, Colonel Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Head of the Women's Committee of the Army, reported to General Secretary To Lam on the outstanding achievements in the work of the Women's Association and the women's movement in the Army during the 2021-2025 period; the results of the preparation work and some contents and activities of the 8th Congress of the Women's Association of the Army (2025-2030). In addition, female delegates representing various forces also reported to the General Secretary on the outstanding achievements of each individual and organization, expressed their thoughts and aspirations, and made suggestions and proposals to the Party and State on many issues related to women in the army...

After hearing the report on the achievements and results of the Women's Association of the Army during the 2021-2025 period, and the opinions expressed by the delegates attending the conference, on behalf of the Party and State leadership, General Secretary To Lam warmly commended the collectives and members of the Women's Association of the Army, especially those present, for their very important and meaningful contributions to the task of building the Army, consolidating national defense; and building and firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.

The General Secretary emphasized: For nearly 81 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnam People's Army has continuously grown stronger, achieving many resounding victories, making worthy contributions to the cause of national liberation, building and firmly defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam. In these victories, the contributions of women in the Army have been very important. From its founding to the present day, every step of growth, maturity, heroic fighting, and glorious victory of the heroic Vietnam People's Army has been accompanied by the worthy contributions of women in the Army.

Comrade Nguyen Tran Ngoc Linh, Director of the Technology Center, Military Industry and Telecommunications Group, reported on the achievements at the meeting.
Lieutenant Colonel Duong Thi Be, Deputy Head of the Mass Mobilization Department, 12th Army Corps, reported on the achievements of the women of the 12th Army Corps at the meeting.

The General Secretary particularly appreciated the achievements and contributions of women in researching, developing, and mastering high-tech weapons and equipment, digital transformation; and creating films on the theme of revolutionary war, contributing to spreading patriotism, self-respect, and national pride in recent times. The General Secretary stated that, despite their different positions, the women in the military all demonstrate strong political resolve; solidarity and close ties; a high sense of responsibility in their professional work and in the Women's Union activities; overcoming difficulties to become exemplary collectives and individuals leading the patriotic emulation movement. These women not only excel in their duties but also fulfill their roles as women, maintaining family happiness and providing a strong support system for their loved ones to study and work with peace of mind. The compassion of the women in the military is spread through acts of kindness and solidarity in times of hardship, natural disasters, and epidemics for their comrades and compatriots. Many women are ready to brave difficult and arduous situations, making sacrifices to help and protect the people, earning the admiration, respect, and trust of their compatriots and international friends... All these positive results affirm the courage, talent, intelligence, and great desire to contribute of women in the military in the new era.

On behalf of the Women in the Army, Colonel Nguyen Thi Thu Hien presented flowers to congratulate General Secretary To Lam.

The General Secretary pointed out that the task of building and defending the Fatherland in the new situation requires building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Vietnamese People's Army; in which, first and foremost, it is necessary to build for the officers and soldiers of the Army a firm political stance, absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people; proficiency in technology and tactics; mastery of new and modern weapons and equipment; innovative and creative thinking; digital skills and mastery of digital platforms; understanding of military art and the ability to coordinate combat operations; enduring health and resilience to meet the special requirements of military operations, ready to fight and firmly defend the independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Fatherland; and protect the Party, the State, the people, and the socialist regime. In this context, it is important to prioritize fostering the aspiration for contribution and promoting the role of women's organizations, the potential and creativity of each female member in all fields of work, and continuing to illuminate and spread the fine traditional qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era.

Implementing gender equality and promoting the role of women in building and defending the Fatherland is a consistent viewpoint of the Party and the State. General Secretary To Lam requested the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the General Political Department, and Party committees and commanders of agencies and units throughout the army to continue to pay attention to leading, directing, and creating conditions for women to study and train, while successfully fulfilling their political tasks in their units and their roles as women in their families. Emphasis should be placed on identifying and nurturing more and more new talents and exemplary role models to honor, replicate, and create widespread influence within the Army and society as a whole; striving for each female soldier in the Army to be a shining example; and each family to be a shining example in their unit and residential area.

The General Secretary expressed his hope that the delegates attending the 8th Congress of Women in the Army would seriously grasp the purpose, requirements, and tasks of the Congress, promote democracy, focus their intellect, and contribute many high-quality opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Congress of Women; and at the same time, wisely select outstanding individuals with excellent qualities and capabilities to represent the women in the Army at the 14th National Congress of Women, contributing to the overall success of the Congress.

General Secretary To Lam expressed his confidence that women in the military will continue to uphold the tradition of "patriotism, solidarity, creativity, loyalty, and diligence," achieving many outstanding accomplishments and contributing even more to the cause of building the army, strengthening national defense, and protecting the Fatherland, worthy of the noble nature of the heroic Vietnamese People's Army.

At the meeting, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, the General Political Department, and the delegation attending the 8th Congress of Women in the Army, General Nguyen Trong Nghia respectfully thanked the General Secretary for his attention and for taking the time to receive and listen to the report of the Women in the Army delegation. General Nguyen Trong Nghia pledged that the General Political Department would seriously implement the General Secretary's directives; continue to lead and direct women's work and the women's movement in the Army to achieve more achievements and better results in the future; and at the same time, care for and ensure the legitimate rights and interests of women; create conditions for Women in the Army to develop their potential and creativity, and together with women nationwide contribute to building the country and firmly defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.
