Dilapidated houses, exposed foundations, and the constant worry of "secure housing" remain a persistent concern for many families. In this context, the Quang Trung Campaign, carried out by the 4th Naval Region, left a profound mark – not only with new roofs, but also with the renewed hope in a land once battered by floods.
Joining hands to build 13 houses of compassion.
During the Quang Trung Campaign, the 4th Naval Region mobilized forces to support the construction of 13 houses for households severely affected by floods in Tay Khanh Son commune, Suoi Hiep commune (Khanh Hoa province) and Hoa Xuan commune ( Dak Lak province).

To ensure the progress and quality of the project, the unit organized five construction forces, with the participation of more than 200 officers and soldiers. Each force was assigned specific tasks, closely monitoring their respective areas and coordinating closely with local Party committees, authorities, and the people.
According to the plan, all 13 houses are expected to be completed before January 15, 2026, earlier than the original deadline. Among them, the house belonging to Mr. Cao Ca Yen, residing in Tay Khanh Son commune, Khanh Hoa province, is the earliest to be completed, with an expected inauguration date of December 22, 2025.
Determination from the commander down to every single soldier.
Discussing the significance and progress of the campaign, Colonel La Tuan Quang, Deputy Commander of Brigade 101, emphasized: “The Quang Trung campaign is not only a task to support disaster relief efforts, but also a political and emotional responsibility of the officers and soldiers of the 4th Naval Region towards the people. We are determined to work with urgency, quality, and safety, so that each house handed over is truly a place where people can live peacefully for the long term.”
According to Colonel La Tuan Quang, the implementation process always prioritizes sustainability. All houses meet the "three sturdy" criteria: sturdy foundation, sturdy frame, and sturdy roof, suitable for the harsh local weather conditions.
Lieutenant Nguyen Quoc Dung, Platoon Leader of Platoon 3, Company 3, Battalion 864, Brigade 101, who directly participated in the construction at the site, shared: “For us, each house is not just a construction project, but the result of responsibility and affection. The soldiers in the unit always encourage each other to do their best, making the most of every day and every hour to hand over the houses to the people as soon as possible, helping them stabilize their lives before Tet.”
The joy of new homes.
As one of the first households to receive support for house construction, Mr. Cao Ca Yen, from Tay Khanh Son commune, could not hide his emotion as he witnessed his new house gradually being completed on the old foundation: “After the floods, my family almost lost everything; our house was severely damaged, and we didn't know where to turn. I am so happy to receive help from the soldiers of the 4th Naval Region in building a new house. With a sturdy house like this, my family can work with peace of mind and no longer worry every time storms come.”
Not only Mr. Cao Ca Yen's family, but many households in the localities receiving support share the same feelings of emotion and gratitude. The presence of naval officers and soldiers has instilled confidence in the people, helping them to overcome difficulties and gradually stabilize their lives.

The lasting impact of mass mobilization after the campaign.
The Quang Trung Campaign further affirmed the effectiveness of the Navy's 4th Region's civilian outreach work in the new situation. The houses built not only helped address immediate housing needs but also created a foundation for people to work, produce, and recover economically after natural disasters.
As the projects were completed one by one, the officers and soldiers returned to their regular duties at sea. But the mark they left behind remains evident in every home, every village road, and in the hearts of the local people.
The Quang Trung Campaign – from the open sea to the heart of the flood zone – is a journey of responsibility, compassion, and faith, highlighting the image of the soldiers of the 4th Naval Region always ready to serve the people and the Fatherland.
