In Phu Dinh commune, Thai Nguyen province, a delegation from the Ministry of National Defense held a ceremony to offer incense and flowers in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House on De Pass. In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation expressed their profound respect, remembrance, and gratitude for the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh - the brilliant leader of the Party, the great teacher of the Vietnamese revolution and people, and the beloved father of the armed forces.

Here, on May 28, 1948, President Ho Chi Minh presided over the ceremony to announce and confer the rank of General upon Comrade Vo Nguyen Giap, Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnamese National Army and Self-Defense Militia.
