Leaders from the Ministry of National Defense, Thai Nguyen province, and other delegates offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Memorial House on the top of De Pass (Phu Dinh commune, Thai Nguyen province).

Joining the delegation were: Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung, Deputy Head of the General Political Department; Lieutenant General Nguyen Ba Luc, Deputy Chief of the General Staff; leaders and commanders of various general departments; leaders of Military Region 1; and leaders and commanders of agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense.

Delegates from Thai Nguyen province included: Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, agencies, and leaders of Phu Dinh commune.

The delegation from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense respectfully observed a minute of silence in memory of the great President Ho Chi Minh.

In Phu Dinh commune, Thai Nguyen province, a delegation from the Ministry of National Defense held a ceremony to offer incense and flowers in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House on De Pass. In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation expressed their profound respect, remembrance, and gratitude for the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh - the brilliant leader of the Party, the great teacher of the Vietnamese revolution and people, and the beloved father of the armed forces.

On behalf of the delegation, Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien signed the guest book and presented gifts from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to the Management Board of the ATK Dinh Hoa National Special Historical Site (Thai Nguyen).

Before the sacred spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, on behalf of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and all officers and soldiers of the entire army, the members of the delegation pledge absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland, and the people; to build a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Vietnamese People's Army; to always maintain revolutionary vigilance, be ready to fight and sacrifice, and resolutely work together with the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army to build and firmly defend the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.

Next, the delegation laid flowers and offered incense in commemoration of General Vo Nguyen Giap at the Pu Don Hill Historical Site - the Hill where he was promoted to General. Here, on May 28, 1948, President Ho Chi Minh presided over the ceremony to announce and confer the rank of General upon Comrade Vo Nguyen Giap, Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnamese National Army and Self-Defense Militia.

Before the sacred spirit of General Vo Nguyen Giap - the elder brother of the Vietnam People's Army, a staunch revolutionary soldier, an outstanding and close disciple of President Ho Chi Minh, a highly respected leader of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, the members of the delegation pledged to unite wholeheartedly, to be absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, to the Party, State and people, to remain steadfast in the revolutionary ideals and goals of the Party, and to resolutely strive to achieve the goals of national development in the new era, for the prosperity, civilization, and happiness of the people, and to steadily advance towards socialism.

After offering incense and flowers in commemoration of General Vo Nguyen Giap and planting a commemorative tree in the grounds of Pu Don Hill, at the meeting hall of the historical site, the head of the Ministry of National Defense met with and presented gifts from the Ministry of National Defense to policy beneficiaries in Phu Dinh commune, Thai Nguyen province.

Speaking at the meeting and gift-giving ceremony, Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, on behalf of the Ministry of National Defense leadership and the delegation, expressed deep gratitude and sincere appreciation to the wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and those who have contributed to the revolution in Phu Dinh commune and Thai Nguyen province. He also affirmed that the Ministry of National Defense's act of gratitude reflects the moral principles and fine traditions of "remembering the source when drinking water" and "repaying gratitude" of our nation. Through this meaningful activity, it practically contributes to caring for the material and spiritual lives of those who have dedicated and sacrificed their lives for the Fatherland.

General Hoang Xuan Chien expressed his confidence that the Party Committee, government, and people of Phu Dinh commune will continue to uphold the revolutionary traditions of their homeland, building a new life that is increasingly civilized, prosperous, and beautiful. Along with that, they will continue to work together with the Army to build and strengthen the all-people national defense, the all-people national defense posture linked with the people's security posture, and the solid foundation of people's support.

General Hoang Xuan Chien delivered a speech expressing the gratitude of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and all officers and soldiers of the army to the families of policy beneficiaries and those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution.
