The Tuyen Quang Province Dao Ethnic Culture Preservation Club was established by Decision No. 01/QD-VH&TL, dated March 29, 2014, of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Culture and Exhibition Center, with Mr. Ban Xuan Trieu, a Red Dao ethnic minority, as the Club's Chairman. Since its launch, the Tuyen Quang Province Dao Ethnic Culture Preservation Club has had 45 members representing all nine Dao ethnic groups. To date, it has expanded widely to communes throughout the province. After the merger, the province has over 232,000 Dao people, ranking third in the province's population, after the Kinh and Tay ethnic groups (formerly Ha Giang : 127,181 people, former Tuyen Quang: 105,359 people), accounting for 12% of the province's population and approximately 26% of the national Dao population. The cultural identity and beliefs of the Dao people in Tuyen Quang are very rich; out of 400 intangible cultural heritage items of all ethnic groups in the province, the Dao people have as many as 133 intangible cultural heritage items.

Over its 10 years of operation, the Dao Ethnic Culture Preservation Club of the province has truly been a common home, contributing to rekindling the faith of the Dao people in raising their awareness of preserving and promoting their invaluable cultural treasures in the face of the gradual erosion of their ethnic identity. This organizational structure has spread and connected with Dao people nationwide. Through the activities of the Club, it has contributed to building national unity.

Each Dao ethnic group organizes a comprehensive performing arts troupe with content such as singing and dancing in traditional ceremonies, love songs, lullabies, songs praising the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and the homeland, as well as in daily life. Members of the Steering Committee in charge of the Dao ethnic group need to maintain contact and connection with their respective Dao groups in the province, collect information on cultural and religious traditions, investigate and document what remains and develop conservation solutions, and restore what has faded away or connect with Dao people in other provinces to restore and preserve it.

The club hopes that communes throughout the province will create favorable conditions to support its activities, such as establishing new grassroots clubs to preserve and promote the cultural identity of the Dao ethnic group after the province's merger. Regular meetings of all club members will be held in the province every two years, summarizing the past 10 years…
