Over the past period, Nghe An province has effectively implemented trade promotion policies, supporting businesses in expanding their consumer markets and strengthening the connection between supply and demand.

In addition to domestic trade promotion activities, the Department of Industry and Trade also actively organizes and implements export promotion activities such as: organizing business delegations to participate in trade fairs and connect supply and demand in Australia, New Zealand, Cambodia, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, etc.; regularly organizing working conferences with trade attachés abroad: the United States, South Korea, India, New Zealand, China...

To date, Nghe An has 743 products ranked as OCOP 3-star or higher (including 3 products with 5 stars; 45 products with 4 stars and 695 products with 3 stars).

Nghe An province ranks second nationwide in the number of products recognized with OCOP star ratings (after Hanoi ). There are 449 entities with products achieving 3-star OCOP or higher (including 70 small and medium-sized enterprises with 190 products; 129 cooperatives with 227 products; 65 cooperative groups with 76 products; and 185 business households with 250 products). Many rural industrial products have been exported to demanding markets, such as: fine art wood products, fish sauce, various types of fish, rattan and bamboo weaving, and brocade fabrics…

Regarding the two provinces of Nghe An and Tuyen Quang, the two localities have organized supply-demand connection conferences. Currently, some products from Tuyen Quang province are available in the Nghe An market, such as tea, honey, and other agricultural products… however, the quantity is still modest.

To further strengthen cooperation and explore markets for businesses, especially OCOP products and rural industrial products of the two provinces, speaking at the conference, Mr. Vo Quang Tuan - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade - suggested that distributors in Nghe An province should strengthen their efforts to understand and access high-quality agricultural products, OCOP products, and processed products from Tuyen Quang province to consider incorporating them into their distribution chains in Nghe An province.

The Department of Industry and Trade of Tuyen Quang province, together with businesses, is strengthening efforts to understand the market and products of Nghe An province; and supporting businesses in Nghe An province to participate in the supply chains of Tuyen Quang province.

The Center for Industry and Trade Development Support and Consulting will act as a focal point, compiling the needs and strengths of Nghe An province's products to support Nghe An businesses in expanding their markets in Tuyen Quang province.

At the conference, representatives from distributors, manufacturers, and businesses producing and trading OCOP products and rural industries in Nghe An province and Tuyen Quang province exchanged ideas, discussed, and directly answered proposals and addressed concerns raised by businesses and cooperatives involved in production and consumption in both provinces.

Businesses exchange ideas and provide feedback on production processes, quality, designs, etc., in order to continuously improve them and integrate them into the modern distribution system of Nghe An province.
