Currently, the entire association has established 24 self-governing groups for security, order, crime prevention, and mediation at the grassroots level, with 89 core members. Through these groups, they closely coordinate with the police, military , and other organizations to participate in patrolling and controlling the area, promptly resolving many incidents at the grassroots level. In 2025, these groups successfully mediated 38 cases of internal conflicts among the people; and provided guidance and education to 11 offenders who showed progress in reintegrating into the community.
Furthermore, the Veterans Association of Phan Rang Ward actively participates in socio-economic development and the construction of a civilized urban area. Movements such as "Exemplary Veterans" and "Veterans Helping Each Other Reduce Poverty and Excel in Business" have been widely implemented; many effective production and business models run by members have created stable jobs for hundreds of workers, contributing to improving the lives of members and making a positive contribution to the overall development of the locality. To date, the entire association no longer has members classified as poor households; more than 65% of member households have a relatively high or wealthy standard of living.
Setting a good example and competing to contribute to building the homeland.
Over the years, cadres and members have consistently set a good example and actively participated in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns in the locality, such as: "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas," "All people protect national security," "Protecting a bright, green, clean, beautiful and civilized environment," "Skilled mass mobilization," "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods," "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one left behind"... Through these efforts, they have contributed to the effective implementation of the National Target Program on sustainable poverty reduction and the construction of new rural areas in the locality. Particularly during the recent November floods, cadres and members, undeterred by difficulties and dangers, made strenuous efforts to rescue people; mobilized two trucks and hundreds of cadres and members to transport relief goods; encouraged cadres and members to contribute support; and mobilized private clinics in the area to participate in providing free medical examinations, treatment, and healthcare for people in the flood-affected areas. These practical actions demonstrate the sense of responsibility and exemplary conduct of former soldiers in today's life.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Minh, Chairman of the Veterans Association of Phan Rang Ward, affirmed: "The Association always prioritizes the local political agenda, using unity as strength and tangible results as a measure of success. From there, we leverage the role and prestige of veterans in disseminating information and mobilizing the people, contributing to the development of a more civilized and modern locality."
In the coming period, the Phan Rang Ward Veterans Association will continue to uphold the traditions, courage, and qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers," focusing on building a strong and comprehensive organization, improving the quality of emulation movements, and replicating good models and effective practices. Through this, it will affirm its role as a reliable support for the Party Committee, government, and people, making practical contributions to the sustainable development of the locality.
