From heart to action, Agribank Trade Union affirms social responsibility in the new era.

For nearly four decades, accompanying the development of agriculture, farmers, and rural areas, Agribank has affirmed its position as the leading bank serving the "three pillars of agriculture" with a network of more than 2,200 branches and transaction offices nationwide. Alongside its business activities, the Agribank Trade Union, with over 41,700 members, cadres, and employees, has become a core force in implementing social welfare programs, supporting the community, and caring for the lives of its members through persistent, practical, and humane actions.

The core of humanism in the journey for the community.

In 2024, Agribank allocated nearly 700 billion VND to social welfare activities. In 2025, up to the end of November, the expenditure on community activities exceeded 500 billion VND. These figures demonstrate Agribank's persistent efforts towards the sustainable development of the community. Each donation and each charitable program is not only material support but also a vivid expression of the spirit of "from heart to action," a spirit that has become a core cultural characteristic of the Agribank system.

This spirit is fostered through community engagement programs spanning many aspects of life. For underprivileged students nationwide, Agribank allocates tens of billions of VND annually for scholarships, library construction, and the building of functional classrooms, contributing to promoting education and talent development while alleviating the burden on many disadvantaged families. In the mountainous districts of Tuyen Quang, staff from the Na Hang Branch directly visit remote schools to provide educational support, contribute to the construction of new classrooms, and help improve learning conditions for students in ethnic minority communities…

The philanthropic efforts of Agribank employees are also evident in programs caring for the poor and vulnerable groups. In early 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, Agribank allocated 6 billion VND to support poor households and policy beneficiaries during Tet (Lunar New Year). In many other provinces, Agribank staff participated in programs to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing, contributing to social welfare funds to build hundreds of new homes.

These community engagement activities take place in villages, suburbs, and urban neighborhoods, where Agribank's trade union members not only bring material gifts but also offer listening, sharing, and working with local authorities to find ways to improve the quality of life for the people. It is this persistent, close, and people-oriented presence that creates Agribank's unique value in its journey towards building a sustainable community.

This spirit of sharing is also clearly demonstrated during times of severe natural disasters. When storms and floods ravaged the Central and Central Highlands regions at the end of 2025, Agribank promptly provided tens of billions of VND to localities severely affected; many branches directly participated with local authorities in relief and reconstruction efforts, assisting customers in restructuring loan repayment terms and waiving or reducing interest rates to quickly restore production.

Spreading social responsibility through practical actions.

A highlight of Agribank's trade union activities is its motto: "Each unit has its own activity, each employee has their own dedication." Thanks to this, social welfare movements not only take place at the system-wide level but also spread to each branch and locality, reflecting the proactive approach of each collective and the responsibility of each union member. Clear evidence of this spread is the activities carried out in key areas across the country.

Agribank Dak Lak Branch provides social welfare support on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 (Year of the Snake).

In Dak Lak, the branch allocated 16.8 billion VND to social welfare activities in 2024, building 300 charitable houses worth 15 billion VND for people in remote areas. In the first five months of 2025, the 11th "Tet of Compassion" program continued to provide over 1.1 billion VND in support to the poor. This is a prime example of the branch's perseverance in an area with many disadvantaged households and ethnic minorities.

Similarly, in Ha Tinh, the Ha Tinh II Branch has become one of the bright spots in the social welfare movement by implementing a series of social welfare activities worth 20.6 billion VND in 2024, including supporting the construction of 110 charitable houses and a series of educational projects in Thach Lac, Huong Lam, and Gia Pho communes with a total value of nearly 12 billion VND.

Agribank has implemented a program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in many localities across the country.

Meanwhile, in Quang Nam province, the branch allocated 11.2 billion VND for social welfare during the 2023-2025 period, including 7.9 billion VND for education and healthcare, and over 3.3 billion VND voluntarily contributed by staff and union members to support livelihoods in the former Tay Giang district and to care for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

In major cities like Ho Chi Minh City, Agribank regularly carries out charitable and humane activities, directly engaging with the local community. During the Lunar New Year of 2025, the former District 5 branch coordinated with other units to donate 390 million VND to 390 policy beneficiary households. Furthermore, the Nha Be branch implemented cashless payment support linked to local social welfare policies, waiving card issuance fees and opening 600 accounts for people receiving social assistance, with support worth tens of millions of VND.

Agribank Ha Tinh Branch donated 25 million VND to Mr. Nguyen Sy Hong's family to help them recover from the damage caused by Typhoon No. 10 (Bualoi).

Particularly in the central coastal provinces, which frequently face natural disasters annually, the role of the banking system in social welfare activities is even more evident. In mid-2025, the Thang Binh branch (Da Nang) provided 300 million VND to build five charitable houses for coastal communes. In addition, the Cam Lam branch (Khanh Hoa) sponsored kiosk equipment and automated patient reception software for the Cam Lam Regional Health Center to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, especially given the difficulties many coastal residents face in accessing modern medical services.

In the northern mountainous region, the Yen Bai branch is a model of perseverance. From 2021 to the present, the branch has built 7 charitable houses worth 334 million VND, sponsored 5 billion VND for education and 222 million VND for healthcare… long-term investments in the future of the highlands. In Quang Ngai, the branch spent more than 4 billion VND on social welfare in 2022, including 13 charitable houses, nearly 1.3 billion VND for education and 870 million VND for disaster relief.

Agribank Dak Lak branch union members provide care and support for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

In the Northern Delta region, the Nam Dinh branch promptly provided 100 million VND to Giao Tan Secondary School after the floods in Giao Binh district (formerly), helping the school repair facilities and stabilize students' learning. In Bac Giang province (formerly), Agribank branch members and employees donated 1 billion VND to support people in heavily flooded areas… These concrete actions in each locality, each with its own approach and appropriate level, demonstrate the strong spread of the social welfare movement throughout the entire system.

Affirming our pioneering role in the new era.

Adapting to the current era, the Agribank Trade Union is integrating social responsibility with the bank's new strategies, especially digital transformation, sustainable development oriented towards ESG, and building a modern corporate culture. Internal training programs on digital capabilities, thematic workshops, and emulation movements related to digital transformation have attracted tens of thousands of employees, creating positive changes in their approach to work and customer service.

Agribank Cam Lam Branch sponsors a social welfare package for Cam Lam Regional Medical Center (Khanh Hoa).

The combination of digital capabilities and social responsibility has opened up new and more effective ways to support people: reducing interest rates for customers affected by natural disasters, restructuring debt, implementing cashless payments for social welfare recipients, and providing convenient banking services in remote areas. Through these efforts, Agribank not only helps people access better financial services but also creates conditions for production recovery and rural economic stability.

Agribank union members immediately went to the localities affected by the natural disaster to support the recovery efforts.

The figures regarding social welfare funding, the number of charitable houses, the number of educational and medical facilities, the number of households supported after natural disasters, and the number of union members participating in movements not only reflect the scale of activities but also demonstrate Agribank's vision for sustainable development and its consistent commitment to social responsibility. This is the value that sets Agribank apart as a state-owned commercial bank that always puts the interests of the community first.

Agribank's social responsibility is demonstrated through concrete, practical, and sustained actions. From the sharing spirit of each employee to large-scale programs across the entire system, Agribank continues to write a humane and distinctive journey, contributing to building a prosperous, sustainable, and compassionate community in the new era.
