| Trainees attend a training course at Ha Giang College of Engineering and Technology. |
Accordingly, the Provincial Red Cross Society organized two training courses at the Ha Giang College of Technology and Engineering and the Thai Nguyen University Branch in Ha Giang, attracting nearly 100 participants. During the training, participants were equipped with knowledge about the Red Cross movement, the symbol of the International Red Crescent; and the role and responsibilities of Vietnam Red Cross volunteers. In particular, participants were updated and practiced basic skills in first aid and emergency care such as: assessing the victim's condition; initial first aid for common accidents; controlling bleeding, bandaging wounds, and temporary immobilization; cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills; and handling emergency situations.
The training course helps school volunteers improve their knowledge, skills, and sense of responsibility when participating in humanitarian, charitable, and relief activities. At the same time, it helps trainees become more confident in first aid, organizing humanitarian activities, and promoting the proactive role of young people in emergency situations and their responsibility to the community.
