SEA Games 33: ASIAD champion Pham Quang Huy is currently competing.

Defending ASIAD shooting champion Pham Quang Huy will compete in the men's 10m air pistol event at the 33rd SEA Games.

After the regrettable absence of shooting from the previous Games in Cambodia, the return of shooting at the 33rd SEA Games is an unparalleled opportunity for the 19th Asian Games champion to reaffirm his number one position in the region, and at the same time quench his thirst for a SEA Games individual gold medal that he is still missing from his prestigious collection.

Born in 1996 in Hai Phong , Pham Quang Huy carries the bloodline of legendary shooters. He is the son of "legend" Pham Cao Son, who won 11 SEA Games gold medals, and his mother, former national team player Dang Thi Hang. Huy was exposed to the sounds of gunfire and the smell of explosives from a very young age. However, not relying on his family's glory, Pham Quang Huy has made his own way into the spotlight and created history.

At the 2025 Asian Shooting Cup held earlier this year in Thailand, he and his teammate Trinh Thu Vinh excellently won the gold medal in the 10m mixed pistol team event. Following that, at the 2025 Asian Shooting Championships, he continued to win a gold medal in the mixed event and a silver medal in the men's 25m pistol team event. This series of achievements shows that the 29-year-old shooter is at his peak, ready to shine at the 33rd SEA Games.
