Practical effectiveness of the "For the Poor" Fund
In implementing the policies of the Party, the State, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on sustainable poverty reduction and social security, Ngoc Hoi commune has effectively implemented the campaign to support the "For the Poor" Fund. This is not only a political task but also a deeply humane activity, demonstrating the responsibility, affection, and sharing of the community towards those less fortunate in society.
Recently, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ngoc Hoi commune launched the 2025 fundraising campaign for the "For the Poor" Fund. The Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and Head of the "For the Poor" Fund Campaign Committee, Vu Hong Khanh, emphasized that the fundraising campaign aims not only to mobilize material resources but also to foster solidarity and compassion, upholding the fine tradition of "mutual support" of the Vietnamese people.
The "For the Poor" Fund serves as a bridge of responsibility between organizations and individuals and those in difficult circumstances, a vivid testament to the concern of the Party, the State, and society for the poor. The management and use of the Fund, ensuring transparency, accountability, and targeting the right beneficiaries, not only yields practical results but also builds trust and consensus among the people, contributing to the successful achievement of sustainable poverty reduction goals and ensuring social security in the area.
Over the years, especially in 2025, social welfare work and caring for the lives of the poor and vulnerable have always been identified by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ngoc Hoi commune as a central and continuous task. With the close guidance of the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of the commune, along with the close coordination of various departments, agencies, and mass organizations, the movements to support the poor have become increasingly in-depth and effective. One of the outstanding achievements in social welfare work in Ngoc Hoi commune is the successful mobilization and effective use of the "For the Poor" Fund.
In 2025 alone, the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune mobilized and donated over 480 million VND to support vulnerable groups in the area. This valuable resource was allocated rationally and appropriately, focusing on the practical and urgent needs of the people.
Through the "For the Poor" Fund, many poor and near-poor households in the commune have received support in the form of practical means and tools for livelihood, tailored to the actual conditions and needs of each family.
The donation of electric motorbikes, sugarcane juice presses, bicycles, etc., is not merely material support, but also demonstrates deep concern and aims to help people become self-reliant in labor and production, and improve their income. These means of livelihood have become important "leverages," helping disadvantaged households confidently develop their family economies and gradually stabilize their lives.
From a state of hardship, many households have gained more opportunities to earn a living, reducing their financial burdens and improving their daily quality of life. More importantly, this approach has gradually changed people's perceptions, shifting from a mindset of dependence and reliance to one of proactively striving for self-improvement through their own labor. This contributes to realizing the goal of sustainable poverty reduction, ensuring social security, and spreading the spirit of mutual support within the community.
In addition, hundreds of poor children and students from disadvantaged backgrounds received gifts and educational support. While the gifts may not be of great material value, they carry profound spiritual significance, providing motivation for the children to overcome difficulties, excel in their studies and personal development, and nurture their dreams for the future.
In particular, from the "For the Poor" Fund and other legitimate sources of support, since the beginning of 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ngoc Hoi commune has supported the construction and repair of two houses for households with extremely difficult circumstances. These sturdy and spacious houses, once completed, not only help families stabilize their living situation and feel secure in their work and production, but also serve as clear evidence of the community's concern and care for the poor.
Healthcare for the poor has also received due attention. Through coordination with medical units and charitable organizations, many poor patients have received support for medical examinations and treatment, promptly reducing the financial burden on their families and helping them overcome the most difficult times.
Spreading compassion and strengthening national unity.
The achievements in mobilizing the "For the Poor" Fund and caring for social welfare in Ngoc Hoi commune not only provide material support but also create a strong spiritual impact within the community. Every act of sharing and compassion contributes to strengthening the close relationship between the Party, the government, and the people, and between different social strata in the commune.
The close attention and guidance of the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of the commune; the proactive and positive efforts of the Fatherland Front Committee and various departments, agencies, and mass organizations have created a synchronized and timely support network. When people face difficulties and hardships, the presence, visits, and encouragement of the government and mass organizations not only help to resolve some of the immediate difficulties but also bring immense spiritual value, instilling confidence and strength for the poor to rise up in life.
Evaluating the effectiveness of the program, Nguyen Cong Tien, Secretary of the Party Branch and Head of the Fatherland Front Committee of Dai Ang village, said that the village has always considered the campaign to raise funds for the "For the Poor" Fund as an important task, closely linked to building national unity in the residential area.
Through intensified propaganda and mobilization efforts, people are increasingly aware of the humanitarian significance of the Fund, thereby actively participating and supporting it according to their abilities. Along with mobilization, the management and use of the Fund are carried out seriously, ensuring transparency, accountability, and targeting the right beneficiaries, creating consensus and trust among the people.
