The Industry and Trade Newspaper published over 400 news articles, reports, and panel discussions.
The Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion (DKC) has just submitted a report on the implementation of the directive from the Ministry of Industry and Trade's leadership assigning DKC to take the lead in handling Official Letter No. 4951/VPCP-CN from the Government Office regarding communication work for the deployment of E10 bioethanol.

The report from the Department of Gasoline Production clearly states that, recognizing communication as one of the decisive factors for the success of the nationwide rollout of E10 bioethanol, under the direction of the Ministry's leadership, the Department of Gasoline Production has chaired and coordinated with press agencies under the Ministry; and at the same time, closely coordinated with central and local press agencies, press management agencies, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, and the Steering Committee 35 at all levels to implement a large-scale communication campaign before, during, and after the official rollout of E10 bioethanol on June 1, 2026.
As a result, in May 2026, the nationwide press system published thousands of news articles, reports, panel discussions, videos, and other media products about E10 bioethanol. The Industry and Trade Newspaper – the official publication of the Ministry of Industry and Trade – alone published over 400 news articles, reports, panel discussions, videos, and in-depth media products on this topic. The content focused on key issues such as: the legal basis of the implementation roadmap; international experience; environmental, economic, and energy security benefits; vehicle compatibility; fuel quality; and addressing public concerns and anxieties during the fuel transition.
In particular, the Department of Biofuels has spearheaded the development and publication of a document containing 85 questions and answers about E10 biofuel; compiled and released a biofuel usage manual; proactively provided official information to the press; and participated in numerous seminars and dialogues with experts, businesses, and industry associations to promptly address issues of public concern.
The Department has also prepared informational content, participated in seminars, given interviews, and provided information to many major media outlets such as: Nhan Dan Newspaper, Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, Government Electronic Information Portal, Industry and Trade Newspaper, Thanh Nien Newspaper, Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Dan Tri Newspaper, Dan Viet Newspaper, Construction Newspaper… along with the local press system, thereby contributing to creating a positive media effect and widespread dissemination in society.
The media has boosted public confidence in E10 gasoline.
According to the Vietnam Economic Review, in addition to disseminating policy information, media outlets have also actively combated and refuted inaccurate and scientifically unfounded information on social media related to E10 gasoline, such as claims that one must "shake the fuel tank," "filter out ethanol," "E10 gasoline damages engines," "causes vehicle fires and explosions," or advertisements for additives without scientific basis, contributing to stabilizing public opinion and enhancing people's trust in the policy of deploying biofuels.
To further ensure the successful implementation of the E10 biofuel roadmap nationwide, the Department of Gasoline and Diesel Fuel proposes that the Ministry's Office implement three measures in the coming period, including: Firstly , advising the Ministry's leadership to continue maintaining a unified, proactive, timely, and transparent communication mechanism; and strengthening the provision of official information to address issues arising during the implementation process.
Secondly , it is proposed that the content regarding the implementation of E10 biofuel and related communication efforts be included in the Ministry's briefing meetings, specialized meetings, and especially the Ministry's regular press conferences and the Ministry's Q2/2026 press conference, in order to further guide information, create social consensus, and improve the effectiveness of policy implementation.
Thirdly , it is suggested that the Ministry's Office continue to coordinate with the Department of Biofuels in monitoring public opinion, compiling press information, and proactively identifying emerging media issues related to the deployment of E10 biofuel in order to provide timely advice and solutions, contributing to ensuring social consensus and the successful implementation of the roadmap for transitioning to biofuel use nationwide.
