According to local residents, many trucks carrying sand and construction materials from Quang Ngai to Gia Lai travel on the Ho Chi Minh Highway and National Highway 24, splashing water from their vehicles onto the road surface, causing environmental pollution and traffic difficulties.

Observations show that on the Ho Chi Minh Highway section passing through Kon Tum ward, many large trucks transporting sand are letting water leak from their cargo beds onto the road surface. When stopped at traffic lights, the water continues to spill, creating long streaks.

Mr. Duong Anh Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Kon Tum Ward, said that the section of the Ho Chi Minh Highway passing through Kon Tum City, Kon Tum Province (formerly) was managed by the local authorities.
After the administrative boundaries were reorganized, this road section, which runs through four communes and wards including Dak Ro Wa, Dak Bla, Kon Tum, and Dak Cam (Quang Ngai province), was handed over to the Provincial Department of Construction for management.
Following the complaints, the authorities have summoned the vehicle owners for questioning and processing, and they have committed to ending this situation.
