After several consecutive seasons creating a sensation in Ho Chi Minh City, GENfest has become a cultural and entertainment phenomenon for young people in the South. This appeal has generated a huge wave of interest from audiences in the North.
GENfest returns in 2025 with a new format - GENfest Presented By Mbllion. This is a series of mini-concerts for local artists, but still ensuring international-standard music and production quality.
Unlike mainstream music festivals, GENfest Presented By Mbllion 2025 is positioned as a mini-concert space specifically designed for each artist. The organizers stated that instead of a model featuring dozens of artists, the program focuses on approximately 5-6 artists. Each artist performs an entire album with around 10-15 songs in nearly 50 minutes, truly embodying the essence of a mini-concert. The festival's overall director is Duong Mai Viet Anh.
The artist chosen to open the Hanoi show is Phung Khanh Linh, a female singer who exemplifies a sophisticated musical mindset and always knows how to surprise. At the festival, Phung Khanh Linh has created a dazzling, interwoven universe of different stages in her career. The names of the young artists performing will be announced in due course, promising an explosive musical event right at the beginning of the new year. Prior to this, the show in Ho Chi Minh City featured six artists: Hieuthuhai, Rhyder, Jsol, Low G, Phap Kieu, and B Ray.

The music festival views fandom (the community of fans) as a core structure of the show. Fans become the center of the experience: from the dazzling sea of lightsticks and synchronized fanchants to the slogans and specially designed story walls. The event space opens at 10 am with an album exhibition area, allowing attendees to hear, see, touch, and immerse themselves in the artistic world of their idol artists, as well as own limited-edition merchandise.
