The concentrated aquaculture area covers a total area of nearly 90 hectares with approximately 300 households engaged in freshwater fish farming. After harvesting the fish to sell during the Lunar New Year, the households start raising a new crop. The water for raising fish is sourced from the river and poured into the ponds. In the ponds, fish farmers use machines to dissolve oxygen in the water, helping the fish grow and develop well. In Tong Hoa village, fish farmers prefer three main species: tilapia, grass carp, and common carp, due to their high survival rates, ease of care, stable market demand, and low risk. Some households invest in raising fish fry to supply fish farmers in the commune. Most fish ponds are mixed with three types of fish: tilapia, grass carp, and common carp, with a ratio of 50% tilapia and the remaining 50% grass carp and common carp. After stocking the fish for about 4-6 months, the villagers begin to sell them. On average, fish farmers in Tong Hoa village raise two crops per year, earning a profit of 111-194 million VND/hectare.FINAL
