(Dan Tri) - Deputy Director General Nguyen Van Tho was appointed Director General of the General Department of Customs from September 1, replacing Mr. Nguyen Van Can who retired according to the regime.
The Minister of Finance recently signed a decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Deputy Director General of Customs, to hold the position of General Director of Customs, effective from September 1.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tho was born in 1972, from Hai Duong. Before moving to the customs field, Mr. Tho spent 12 years working in the military.
Before becoming Deputy Director General of the General Department of Customs in September 9, Mr. Tho held the position of Director of the Department of Personnel Organization of this General Department.

From 2002 to 2014, he worked at the Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department - General Department of Customs and was appointed as Deputy Director of Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department in October 10.
In July 7, he was appointed as Director of the Department of Personnel Organization.
Along with the decision to appoint a new Director General, the Ministry of Finance awarded a retirement decision to Mr. Nguyen Van Can, Director General of the General Department of Customs.
