On the evening of March 26th, ONUS dropped to $0.3 USD per token. According to CoinMarketCap , the cryptocurrency project's token price is now only one-tenth of its peak set in June 2023. The downward trend began in August 2025, and despite some recoveries, new lows for ONUS have been continuously established.
According to the platform, there are currently around 1,200 wallets holding the aforementioned cryptocurrency. Its market capitalization is also low, at approximately $25 million out of a total supply of 83 million ONUS. This asset is used as a utility token within the ecosystem. It plays a pivotal role in the network.
Specifically, ONUS holders have the right to vote on important changes to the system. They can also share in the profits from transaction fees when the tokens are locked. With some LaunchPad projects, ONUS holders receive early purchase rights at a better price than the general market.

ONUS is registered as a company in Singapore. However, the core team and primary user base of the platform are from Vietnam. In the 2021 hack, hackers stated that approximately 90% of the 1.9 million users were domestic customers. By 2025, ONUS claims to have reached 7 million accounts.
In announcing the merger of ONUS with the American company Vemanti, the company publicly stated that the total 24-hour trading volume from this exchange could reach over $560 million (more than 14,000 billion VND ). The average daily volume is also expected to reach $300-400 million (8,000-10,000 billion VND ).
Specifically, VNDC, a stablecoin linked to the ecosystem, currently has 1,400 billion VNDC (equivalent to 1,400 billion VND ) minted on the blockchain. The platform offers policies for depositing VNDC on ONUS, earning overnight interest of 10-12.8% per year, and a Farming package up to 24% per year.
From the afternoon of March 20th, the ONUS cryptocurrency application became inaccessible, preventing users from logging in or retrieving passwords via the server. Users of this app completely lost access to their digital assets stored on this system. When attempting to log in, the platform displayed the message, "Login error. Please check your network connection and login information."
On the evening of March 26th, the Ministry of Public Security's online portal announced that on March 23rd, the Security Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security initiated a criminal case for "Using computer networks, telecommunication networks, or electronic means to commit acts of property appropriation; Money laundering" occurring in Hanoi and other provinces and cities. The Security Investigation Agency identified a group of individuals involved who created cryptocurrencies such as VNDC, ONUS, HNG, etc., and issued and sold them to investors through the ONUS cryptocurrency exchange.
On March 24, the Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security issued a decision to prosecute and a detention order against Vuong Le Vinh Nhan, Tran Quang Chien, Ngo Thi Thao, and four other individuals for the crime of "Using computer networks, telecommunication networks, or electronic means to commit acts of property appropriation" as stipulated in Article 290 of the Penal Code; and issued a decision to prosecute and a detention order against one individual for the crime of "Money laundering" as stipulated in Article 324 of the Penal Code. The Supreme People's Procuracy (Department 1) approved the decisions to prosecute and the detention orders against the aforementioned individuals.
