OPPO's new mobile products

Based on research and accumulated knowledge of large-scale models and generative AI, OPPO has identified the following four key characteristics of AI smartphones: AI smartphones must efficiently utilize computational resources to meet the processing demands of generative AI in the AI era; AI smartphones need to be equipped with sensors to perceive the real world, understand complex information about users and their surroundings; AI smartphones also need to possess strong self-learning capabilities; and AI smartphones will be able to create multimedia content, providing users with continuous inspiration and knowledge support.

With the four outstanding features mentioned above, the emergence of AI smartphones will revolutionize the mobile industry. Various AI services will be integrated into smart devices, creating an ecosystem that provides more diverse and personalized services. OPPO will provide AI features as well as a development platform to support this entirely new ecosystem. In the future, OPPO will integrate comprehensive AI features into more OPPO products in the global market, including the next generation of the Reno series, enabling more and more users to experience a smart and convenient lifestyle supported by AI.

To contribute to this ecosystem, OPPO's efforts in the field of AI don't stop at self-development and innovation, but go further by collaborating with many global partners in diverse fields. At this year's MWC, OPPO partnered with AlpsenTek, a startup specializing in motion vision sensors, and Qualcomm to showcase the results of their collaboration, pioneering the use of Hybrid Vision Sensor technology integrated with a new AI Motion algorithm.

Developed under OPPO's leadership, the AI Motion algorithm can enhance the sharpness and interpolate of high-frame-rate images, supporting fast-focusing cameras, based on a combination of traditional RGB image data and motion data from the vision sensor. With this algorithm, smartphones will have more solutions for enhancing image sharpness, enabling slow-motion video recording at 960 frames per second in 4K resolution, improving dynamic range and resolution. The integration of this technology opens up exciting possibilities for photography and videography, enhancing the potential for content creation.

Visitors to the Qualcomm experience booth at MWC got to experience the impressive AI-powered object removal effects and strong photography performance of the OPPO Find X7 Ultra. Meanwhile, at the MediaTek experience booth, OPPO also shared the application of this feature on the OPPO Find X7 device.

OPPO and Microsoft will also collaborate closely in the field of AI technology to enhance user experience across various devices. In the near future, through Microsoft's Windows Link feature and a new add-on software, OPPO users will be able to use the Copilot AI assistant to create content, translate text messages, and search for addresses on their smartphones via a connected computer.
