Samsung announced that the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event will take place at 10:00 AM on February 25th US time (1:00 AM on February 26th Vietnam time). At this event, the South Korean company is expected to unveil the new generation of Galaxy S series, along with several other products.
Although most information is being kept secret, Samsung confirmed in January that the Galaxy S26 will feature new security technology, using specialized hardware to limit the screen's viewing angle. According to the description, users will still see the content clearly when viewed directly, but the screen will appear dimmer when viewed from an angle.
Based on rumors, the Galaxy S26 is expected to remain largely unchanged from its predecessor. Samsung may upgrade the design, improve performance with a better processor, and offer a better screen. Additionally, AI and accompanying accessories are also exciting features to look forward to.
Price and release date
Galaxy Unpacked 2026 was held in San Francisco (USA). Similar to previous years, the Galaxy S26 series is expected to have three versions: the standard S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra.
Compared to previous years, this year's event is taking place later (February instead of January). Rumors suggest that the cancellation of the S26 Edge development in favor of the S26+ caused Samsung to postpone the event, but the company has not confirmed this.
Samsung's pre-order offers in some markets also confirm a few details about the S26. In India, users who pre-order the product will get double the storage. For example, if they order the 256GB version, customers will receive a phone with 512GB of storage.

The price of the Galaxy S26 remains unknown. In previous years, rumors of price increases have often been inaccurate. With this generation, Samsung may actually increase the price of the product, at least in some markets.
On February 12th, ET News (South Korea) reported that the Galaxy S26 series may see a price increase in the domestic market. The 256GB version is predicted to be around $68 more expensive, while the 512GB option could be around $110 more.
The price increase is attributed to rising memory costs. However, leaker Roland Quandt suggests that the price hike will not apply to most international markets, meaning Samsung will bear the cost.
Notable changes
According to The Independent , rumors about the design of the Galaxy S26 have been circulating since late last year. While the S26 and S26+ are likely to resemble their predecessors, more significant design changes may be reserved for the S26 Ultra.
In December 2025, Samsung inadvertently leaked renders of three S26 models in the One UI 8.5 source code. Based on renders collected by Android Authority , high-resolution drawings and product models quickly emerged.
Leaked images reveal that the camera module on the S26 and S26+ will have a pill-shaped protrusion similar to the iPhone 17. The lenses are arranged vertically, while the LED flash and additional sensor are located separately to the right.

According to Ice Universe , the Galaxy S26 features a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display, larger than its predecessor (6.2 inches). Meanwhile, the S26+ retains the same 6.7-inch size as the S25+.
Overall, the design of the S26 and S26+ is basically quite similar to the previous generation. The biggest difference comes from the rear camera module. With the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the product design may be slightly upgraded, being about 0.4 mm thinner than the S25 Ultra.
Some rumors suggested that the S26 Ultra might remove the S Pen stylus. However, leaked images from Ice Universe show that the product will retain this feature. Samsung is said to have found a way to equip the Qi2 wireless charging with magnets without affecting the stylus.
Similar to the S26 and S26+, the S26 Ultra will have a pill-shaped camera module for the three rear cameras, with the remaining sensors located to the right. According to Android Headlines , the metal bezel surrounding the camera has been redesigned, similar to the iPhone 17 Pro, to enhance its premium feel.
The S26 Ultra will likely retain the 6.9-inch screen size, but may use a higher-quality M14 OLED panel. Earlier last year, The Elec reported that the new technology allows the screen to achieve a maximum brightness of around 3,000 nits.

The most interesting upgrade on the S26's screen is the anti-spy feature, confirmed by Samsung at the end of January. Instead of applying a dedicated screen protector, this feature combines hardware and software, making the screen clear when viewed directly and darker at an angle to prevent prying eyes.
Samsung has not confirmed which devices will support the new feature, but some rumors suggest that only the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be equipped with this technology.
Information about the anti-spy screen feature was discovered by SammyGuru in the One UI 8.5 beta, including a video demonstrating how it works. Users can activate the feature in the settings, Quick Settings menu, or by selecting an app.
Similar to Apple, Samsung may abandon titanium and return to an aluminum frame on the S26 series. According to sources from Fudzilla , this change will make the product lighter and improve heat dissipation.
Regarding colors, Ice Universe stated that the S26 Ultra will likely come in four colors: black, white, blue, and purple. A few days later, leaker Evan Blass revealed that the S26 Ultra will also have silver and rose gold options, however, these colors may be sold exclusively on the Samsung website.
Better hardware and wireless charging.
Based on rumors, the S26 and S26 Ultra will continue to use different processors. In December 2025, the Chinese news site ITHome reported that the S26 and S26+ will be equipped with Samsung's newly launched Exynos 2600 chip, while the S26 Ultra will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
In reality, the performance of these chips may not differ significantly. According to leaker Jukanlosreve , the neural processing unit (NPU) power on the Exynos 2600 is six times higher than Apple's A19 Pro. The graphics performance (GPU) on the new Exynos is also 29% higher than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
Rumors suggest that the Galaxy S26 will integrate an AI-powered anti-phishing feature. Essentially, this mode will analyze calls and messages from unknown numbers, labeling them with a warning if there's a risk of fraud. Currently, this feature is only available on Google's Pixel line.

The Galaxy S26 and S26+ are not expected to have many camera upgrades; the changes are mainly for the S26 Ultra . According to IceUnivers.com , all three products are expected to use a telephoto camera supporting 3x optical zoom, a 10MP ISOCELL sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.
Since there are no significant leaks regarding the main camera and ultra-wide-angle camera, it's likely that the S26 and S26+ will focus on software and image processing algorithm improvements, with no changes to the camera hardware.
Regarding the S26 Ultra, leaker Ahmed Qwaider stated that Samsung will upgrade the main 200MP camera with a wider aperture (f/1.4 compared to f/1.7). The aperture for the 50MP telephoto camera may also increase from f/3.4 to f/2.9, improving light gathering capabilities when shooting from a distance.
The biggest change on the S26 Ultra comes from the charging. According to Qwaider, the product is expected to support wired fast charging up to 60W, up from 45W. All three products are likely to integrate the Qi2 wireless charging standard, along with magnets for more secure attachment.
Other details
According to Qwaider, the standard Galaxy S26 will upgrade its battery from 4,000 mAh to 4,300 mAh, while the S26 Ultra will increase from 5,000 mAh to 5,200 mAh. Meanwhile, the S26+ is expected to retain the same 4,900 mAh capacity as its predecessor.
Besides the Galaxy S26, Samsung is also expected to introduce a new line of Galaxy Buds 4 headphones. According to leaked images from the Samsung Tips app, the new headphones will have a smaller charging case and earcups with fewer sharp edges.

The Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro will support head gestures to answer and reject calls. Apple also includes this feature on the AirPods Pro 3 and AirPods 4. According to SamMobile , the new earbuds also integrate a UWB chip, supporting better location tracking with Google's Find Hub network.
Software is also a key area to look forward to. Samsung recently announced an agreement with Perplexity to integrate agent AI into the Galaxy ecosystem. Details of the agreement will likely be shared at the upcoming event.
