Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen The Giang and other delegates attended the conference.
In 2024, total budget revenue in the province reached VND 4,349.7 billion, achieving 127.3% of the target set by the Prime Minister, 112.6% of the target set by the Provincial People's Committee, and increasing by 41.2% compared to the same period. Of this, domestic revenue was VND 4,041.5 billion, achieving 120.5% of the target set by the Prime Minister, 106.4% of the target set by the Provincial People's Committee, and increasing by 37% compared to the same period in 2023. This marks the 34th consecutive year that the Tax Department has excellently fulfilled its budget revenue collection targets assigned by the Government and the Ministry of Finance .
In 2025, the Tax Department aims to focus all resources on implementing comprehensive solutions for revenue management and tax debt recovery, striving to complete the assigned state budget revenue collection targets: the Government assigned Tuyen Quang province a target of 3,786 billion VND, and the Provincial People's Committee assigned 5,405 billion VND; while also effectively implementing tax management targets according to its functions.
On behalf of the President and the Prime Minister, Mr. Nguyen The Giang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented the Third-Class Labor Medal to Mr. Hoang Thanh Phong, Deputy Director of the Provincial Tax Department.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen The Giang emphasized that, in the context of the production and business activities of people and businesses in the province being affected, the National Assembly and the Government have issued many policies on tax, fee, and levy exemptions, deferrals, and reductions. However, with a spirit of solidarity, unity, and joint efforts to overcome difficulties, the Tax Department has implemented comprehensive and effective tasks and solutions for budget revenue collection in 2024.
2025 marks the beginning of a new era, an era of national progress. To successfully accomplish the tasks of 2025, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the Tax Department closely adhere to the political tasks of the department and the province, the main targets, and the 2025 budget plan to organize the implementation of its assigned functions and tasks.
The Provincial Tax Department needs to focus resources and decisively and comprehensively implement solutions for revenue management, combating budget revenue losses, and recovering tax debts. It should continue to maintain and strengthen the activities of the Steering Committee for combating revenue losses and recovering outstanding tax debts. It should effectively implement the plan for recovering and handling outstanding debts as directed by the Provincial Steering Committee for combating budget revenue losses.
Continue to innovate forms of communication and support for taxpayers, strongly apply digital technology to tax management, and expand the deployment of electronic invoices generated from cash registers to improve management efficiency and combat tax evasion in the retail sector. Promote administrative reform, focusing on simplifying tax procedures, creating favorable conditions for taxpayers, and fostering long-term revenue sources. Focus on implementing inspection and audit work according to the approved plan.
On behalf of the Prime Minister, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen The Giang presented the Prime Minister's commendation certificates to individuals who have achieved outstanding results in their work from 2018 to 2022, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
At the conference, on behalf of the President and the Prime Minister, Mr. Nguyen The Giang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented the Third-Class Labor Medal to Mr. Hoang Thanh Phong, Deputy Director of the Provincial Tax Department, for his outstanding achievements in his work from 2018 to 2022, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland; and awarded Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister to one collective and four individuals for their achievements in their work from 2018 to 2022, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
Ten individuals were awarded the title of Emulation Soldier of the Finance sector for the periods 2019-2021 and 2020-2022; 15 collectives and individuals were awarded the title of Excellent Labor Collective in 2022 by the Ministry of Finance; and 35 collectives and individuals received certificates of merit from the General Department of Taxation in 2022.
At the conference, the Provincial Tax Department launched a campaign to excel in fulfilling its tasks in 2025 throughout the entire sector and commended and rewarded collectives and individuals who excelled in their tasks in 2024.
