Striving to become a modern, multifunctional urban area

Resolution of the 1st Central Ward Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 identified planning and infrastructure development as one of three breakthroughs to expand urban space, towards building a multifunctional, civilized and modern service urban area. In recent times, the ward has made the most of resources, coordinated with departments and branches to build a synchronous infrastructure system, focusing on urban infrastructure and inter-regional traffic connections.

The project of connecting National Highway 32 with Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway (IC14), the section passing through Trung Tam Ward from Km0 to Km5 and the resettlement area under Package 13 is being accelerated. The project has a total investment of 618 billion VND, a length of nearly 12 km, expected to create an important connecting axis to promote socio -economic development in the western region of the province. Currently, the locality is actively clearing the site and handing it over to the contractor. Up to now, the project has completed 43% of the volume, striving to complete the main routes in 2025.

Mr. Le Manh Hung - Construction Team Leader, Yen Bai Traffic Construction Joint Stock Company shared: “The construction team always sticks close to the site with the spirit of “overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain”, making the most of time to speed up progress. On days with favorable weather, the unit works overtime to ensure that the items are implemented according to plan. The local government actively visits each household to propagate, mobilize and persuade people to agree to hand over the site, creating conditions for the contractor to carry out construction.”

Along with traffic, urban infrastructure, health, education , and tourism of Trung Tam ward are continuing to be invested in systematically, aiming to become a new administrative center with full cultural - sports - green facilities; modern and dynamic urban area; contributing to improving the material and spiritual life and happiness index of the people.

In recent days, people in Sa Ren residential group have been excited when the new cultural house with a total investment of 1.5 billion VND was inaugurated, handed over and put into use. The spacious and solid construction not only meets the needs of meetings and community activities but also contributes to preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Thai ethnic group.

Mr. Luong Van Thinh in Sa Ren residential group excitedly said: "Now that we have a beautiful and solid cultural house, the people are very excited. This is the motivation for us to maintain the xoe dance, to welcome domestic and foreign tourists."

Not only the cultural house, the residents of Sa Ren residential group will also benefit from the 1.6 km long traffic route, connecting to the National Highway 32 bypass, which is about to be completed. The route is equipped with a complete lighting and drainage system, making travel convenient and expanding the space for economic and tourism development.

With a clear development orientation, synchronous infrastructure and consensus of the people, Trung Tam ward is gradually becoming a spacious and modern urban area; a new growth driver, contributing to tourism development and improving the quality of life of the people. Trung Tam ward sets important targets by 2030: Budget revenue reaches 550 billion VND, average annual economic growth rate of 12%, average income per capita reaches 80 million VND/year, happiness index reaches 85%.

Mr. Nguyen The Nghia - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Trung Tam Ward, said: "The locality is implementing the zoning plan and completing the general planning plan of the inter-ward, which clearly defines the core development goals. The central spatial axis of the ward is oriented to open towards the highway connecting road, creating a highlight for the future urban structure. The goal is that in the coming time, the main eastern axis of the ward will be clearly defined, becoming an important backbone. From here, the "flows" of trade, services, and culture will easily spread, opening up the possibility of close connection and promoting growth for the entire western region of the province, making Trung Tam Ward rise to become the "nucleus" of a multi-functional, modern urban area; a high-quality service - trade center associated with the digital transformation process".
