The Resolution of the First Party Congress of Trung Tam Ward, term 2025-2030, identifies planning and infrastructure development as one of the three breakthroughs to expand urban space, aiming to build a multi-functional, civilized, and modern service city. In recent years, the ward has maximized resources and coordinated with relevant departments and agencies to build a comprehensive infrastructure system, with a focus on urban infrastructure and inter-regional transportation connections.

The project connecting National Highway 32 with the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway (IC14), specifically the section passing through Trung Tam Ward from Km0 to Km5 and the resettlement area under Package 13, is being accelerated. With a total investment of 618 billion VND and a length of nearly 12 km, the project is expected to create a crucial connecting axis to promote socio -economic development in the western region of the province. Currently, the local authorities are actively clearing land and handing it over to the contractor for construction. To date, the project has achieved 43% completion, with the goal of finishing the main sections in 2025.

Mr. Le Manh Hung, Construction Team Leader of Yen Bai Transportation Construction Joint Stock Company, shared: “The construction force always stays close to the site with the spirit of ‘overcoming the sun and rain,’ making the most of the time to accelerate progress. On days with favorable weather, the unit works overtime and in shifts to ensure that the items are implemented according to plan. Local authorities actively go to each household to disseminate information, mobilize and persuade people to agree to hand over the land, creating conditions for the contractor to carry out construction.”

Along with transportation, urban infrastructure, healthcare, education , and tourism, Trung Tam ward is continuing to receive systematic investment, aiming to become a new administrative center with complete cultural, sports, and green space facilities; a modern and dynamic urban area; contributing to improving the material and spiritual lives and happiness index of its people.

In recent days, residents of Sa Ren neighborhood have been excited about the inauguration and handover of their new community center, built with a total investment of 1.5 billion VND. This spacious and sturdy building not only meets the needs of community meetings and activities but also contributes to the preservation and promotion of the Thai ethnic group's cultural identity.

Mr. Luong Van Thinh from Sa Ren residential area happily said: "Now that we have a beautiful and sturdy cultural center, the people are very happy. This is a motivation for us to maintain the Xoe dances to welcome tourists from both inside and outside the country."

Besides the cultural center, residents of Sa Ren neighborhood also benefit from the soon-to-be-completed 1.6 km long road connecting to the National Highway 32 bypass. The road is equipped with a complete lighting and drainage system, facilitating travel and expanding opportunities for economic and tourism development.

With a clear development orientation, synchronized infrastructure, and the consensus of the people, Trung Tam Ward is gradually becoming a spacious and modern urban area; a new growth engine, contributing to the development of tourism and improving the quality of life for its residents. Trung Tam Ward has set important targets for 2030: achieving a budget revenue of 550 billion VND, an average annual economic growth rate of 12%, an average per capita income of 80 million VND/year, and a happiness index of 85%.

Mr. Nguyen The Nghia, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Trung Tam Ward, said: “The locality is currently developing a detailed zoning plan and completing the general planning project for the entire ward, clearly defining the core development goals. The central spatial axis of the ward is oriented towards the highway connection, creating a focal point for the future urban structure. The goal is that in the near future, the main eastern axis of the ward will be clearly defined, becoming an important backbone. From here, trade, services, and cultural flows will easily spread, opening up the possibility of close linkages and promoting growth for the entire western region of the province, making Trung Tam Ward the "nucleus" of a modern, multi-functional urban area; a high-quality service and commercial center associated with the digital transformation process.”
