Pháo's YouTube channel was hacked.

On the morning of April 18th, singer Pháo's YouTube channel broadcast content promoting cryptocurrency scams. This is not the first time such an incident has occurred on the platform.

The "Pháo Northside" channel, which has over 650,000 subscribers and belongs to female rapper Pháo, suddenly had its logo changed to that of the Bitcoin Strategy investment company. Simultaneously, all videos on the account were hidden from the homepage on the morning of April 18th. Instead, content related to cryptocurrency was redirected and displayed on the channel as a playlist.

At 8:30 AM that same day, this user was still live-streaming a speech by "whale" Michael Saylor at an event. Attached to the video was a QR code linking to a scam website. The scammers were luring viewers into sending cryptocurrency in exchange for double profits. The livestream on rapper Pháo's channel was attracting over 49,000 viewers. However, the streamer disabled comments to prevent viewers from responding or reporting the suspicious content.

In fact, this is a common form of internet fraud. When users send their cryptocurrency assets, hackers steal them instead of returning them as promised.

Before Pháo, a number of celebrities and content creators in Vietnam also had their YouTube channels hijacked to broadcast fraudulent content. After a few hours of broadcasting, the accounts would be suspended by YouTube for violating policies.

The most recent case of a YouTube channel being hacked involved streamer Độ Mixi. His account, with 8 million subscribers, had its name changed and was used to broadcast fraudulent content. His case was more complicated as the channel was renamed three times before being recovered.

After consulting with security experts, Mr. Phung Thanh Do stated that the channel being compromised may have originated from a fake file sent by the game publisher. Analysis tools indicated that the downloaded software contained a series of dangerous malware, stealing user information and remotely controlling devices.

Installing pirated software and unlicensed games also carries many risks, allowing malware to infiltrate the computer and take control of the YouTuber's channel.

Recently, Pháo's YouTube channel has experienced significant growth thanks to the song "Career Obstacles ." In a short time, the account gained nearly 200,000 new subscribers. Views also surged, helping Pháo repeat the success from her "Two Minutes More" era.

The song "Career Obstacle" quickly rose to the top of the trending charts after just two days of being uploaded. However, on March 30th, the channel owner proactively restricted the age rating for the Vietnamese market. Since then, the number of views has decreased.
