Following the coordinated command, Lieutenant Le Trong Nhung, commander of Platoon 1, loudly proclaimed: “Fire at bunker number 13, high-explosive shell, immediate fuse, reduced charge, elevation angle 0.10, elevation 30.0, aim center, first shot, load.” As soon as the command was given, the gunners quickly took aim, prepared their ammunition, checked their direction and range, and performed the operations precisely and rhythmically. The command “Fire!” was followed by a deafening explosion, flames shot from the barrel, the ground shook slightly, white smoke billowed across a corner of the training ground, and the target was destroyed with the first round. “That is proof of the results of the arduous training of the unit’s officers and soldiers over the past period,” said Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Dung, Commander of the 452nd Artillery Regiment, enthusiastically.

Sharing his experience participating in a live-fire exercise with the 85mm artillery for the first time, soldier Nguyen Dang Quoc, from Squad 1, said: “While preparing to fire, I was both nervous and excited. When I saw the shell hit the target, I felt a surge of pride in my veins. This is a beautiful memory in my military career.”
According to Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Dung, this was an opportunity to verify the results of the unit's training over the past period. The live firing exercise of the 85mm artillery crews took place safely, seriously, and according to plan. The results met and exceeded the set targets, with 100% of the personnel following the correct procedures and destroying the targets with the first salvo.
