The French government has announced the recall of a batch of Novalac infant formula after several cases of digestive problems were reported in infants.

According to the French Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Agriculture, the food safety monitoring system has received 11 reports concerning reactions such as diarrhea and vomiting in infants using batch number 183403 of Allernova AR formula.

Authorities said the product was deemed unsuitable for consumption due to altered characteristics; however, there is currently no evidence to suggest that this batch of milk poses a serious health risk.

The recall was initiated by Novalac on a voluntary basis to ensure consumer safety.
